It is a coaching issue. It is the only constant over the last 20+ years. Literally every coach the Panthers have employed have all basically been copies of each other. Seriously, show me the difference between John Fox and Ron Rivera besides their appearance and mannerisms.

Marty Hurney doesn't help but I still think coaching is a larger issue.

What do you base this position on?

The guy has come in and been: 

Transparent > Available to the press > Promised terrific upgrades to facilities to benefit players > Hired a world class team President > Gotten involved in the community > Already started spreading charitable dollars around the area, etc...

He takes it to .750 for sure.

Jerry Richardson did every one of those things and no a dome will not improve our performance. Only a good head coach and GM will.

Available to the Media = Nope, hadn't spoken in a decade.

Upgraded practice facilities = Nope, team practiced in cold & rain & hotel ballrooms.

Hired a world class President = Nope, his Prez while a good guy was wholly unqualified, to his credit he couldn't tolerate Jerry's scummy ways and quit outright.

Involved in the community = Nope, basically invisible, except when he was sitting like a mannequin in his luxury box.

Charitable spending = Minimal to non-existent, Tepper has given away hundreds of millions over the years.
