He gave Olsen 12M guaranteed. Now we either overpay him to play 7.1M, or 7.4M if he retires.

He traded KB for a wasted pick.

He gave an inconsistent PK 9M guaranteed. After cutting to cheap similar alternative. Nice.

  Poe is awful.

You pay Torrey Smith 5M for no reason at all.

These were all criticized when they were made. So what exactly has he done besides his normal losing season?

All hindsight-is-20:20 B.S.

Anyone that doesn't know the main reason why we had a losing season is just blind, and it wasn't because of Hurney.

I didn't say Marty is a good GM. I thought you were a better listener. What I said is that there was enough justification to Keep Hurney and Rivera for another year to see how it all plays out (and that's what I've been saying). All the whining about Tepper's decision and weeping and gnashing of teeth is pretty useless and not conducive to a good mentality, much less good discussion.

I unequivocally believe that Tepper will be a good owner, because he seems thoughtful and patient, comes from the best football organization (even if he was just a minority owner), and by all reports knows a little about the game, has an appreciation for analytics, and displays what I call "big-picture clarity" about his franchise.

Then stay out of the discussion if it’s not “healthy” for you. What a wuss...

And you don’t think he’s a good GM but don’t understand why people have an issue with him being this teams CURRENT GM. So he sux but we shouldn’t talk about it? Right? Why are you even in this?

And his previous four? Or his “boy-band” years on the radio? What exactly is Hurney responsible for?

Remember that hindsight comment when you’re bitching about some player you loved not being picked by us. Or does Marty not get those from you like other GMs.

I'm the wuss, and you and others are the whiny crybabies. You or someone like you take EVERY opportunity to dump on Hurney, Rivera and even Tepper, making any type of discussion regarding them useless in the process. How rich.

I mean, just because the guy had full control of the roster and made all the football decisions, that isn't a good enough reason to blame him if the season is a failure.

Right?

(that'd be like blaming Rivera for losses just because he's the head coach)

It is a reason to blame him. He was the man in charge this season. Kind of a simplistic perspective, but you do you.

Sure. I mean why would you ever blame the people in charge of everything just because what they're in charge of fails?

That's just crazy talk :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

that's not what rivera does.  he doesn't play, he doesn't decide who plays, he doesn't call plays (then he does), he doesn't draft people, you can't put losses on him.  they have nothing to do with him.  that was all lance's fault.  are you not even keeping up anymore?

Sorry. You'll have to excuse me for falling behind. I'm not used to this newfangled logic.

Haynes still weighs 235 lbs.

Unless Rivera is training him how to play OLB in the 4-3, Hayne's has extremely minimal "potential".

Addison was 6’3” 245 Haynes is 6’2” 235. 1 inch for 10 pounds isn’t crazy. I do agree that he needs to put on a lot of weight like Addison did, but he can still contribute as a pure pass rusher on passing downs.
