There will be this year at number 16. We need to get one. Period

clowney and Watt negated by a great oline

You got that right . Nelson just pancake Clowney  when they slid him inside. To think some here can't see it the o-line will get us back into the playoffs twice as fast then picking another d-linemen.. Heck their is quite a few good d-linemen in Free Agency this year , Ford, Clowney, Graham, Lawrence

So one guy who’s a project and never played LY, or a player who has regressed every moment of his career at Ole Moss?

It’s not the concept. We need OL help no doubt. But that doesn’t mean “reaching” for players just for need.

Don't reach for d-line either. If you want to find a stud OT you will more likely have to draft in the first round . De stud is first round also but you can get them in free agency look at Campbell signed by the Jaguars.

The situation with our o-line is grim. We need a C and LT. Our 1st two picks would hopefully be LT r1 and then C r2. If the value isn't there at pick 16 then try to trade down. Get a developed proven DE in free agency, and replace Adams with a better but still cheap-ish safety via FA as well. Draft a CB r3 or r4 to put opposite Bradberry, and move Jackson to Captains spot. BPA at a position of need with the rest of the draft. That will stop the bleeding.

What if there aren’t any “stud LTs” available?

Depending on who is available I think you go DE then Tackle in the second if this is the case. We could also draft a RT and use Moton at LT or LG depending on how the draft goes...

We need a Center way more than a LT. Moton is a all pro LT playing RT.

If Moton is LT then we have no RT unless we pay Williams. We need a tackle LT or RT this year and Larsen can be our stop gap C until next year. If a high value center drops in the draft that’s a different story... We really need a OT, DE and FS like yesterday. LG should be addressed and then possibly C since Larsen has shown he can be at least average and hopefully has gotten better since then...

I do feel Hurney was expecting a quality interior to fall around our 2nd and 3rd picks. He was scouting interiors heavily and wanted guys like Daniels and Ragnow. Unfortunately, 2018 draft had this insane run on interior lineman from the late first all the way up to our 2nd round pick. Luckily there seems to be another good crop of interior players and a bit more depth at tackle. We'll so how some of these lineman test.

I want us to get a pass rusher (interior or outside) so bad, but from the looks of things, we may have to settle for maybe 3rd or 4th best pass rusher or interior? Josh Allen, Nick Bosa, Ed Oliver, Quinnen Williams stand out and look to be day 1 starters that will be off the board. If there is a run on pass rushers we need to look at other positions and could that be Offensive tackle or interior lineman?

Colts OL is a difference maker.

But still you take the best player of all you major holes on the board, which most likely be DL in the 1st in this draft.

For every Colts pointed out as focusing on OL in the draft and being successfull, there are a handful that arent.

Heck the Dolphins had 3 former 1st round picks on their OL last year.  And 2 years ago had 3 former 1st and a high priority FA probowl LT all on the OL, but their OL was avg and team was terrible.

Choose your OL:

Kalil/Van Roten/Larsen/Turner/Moton

Kalil/Moton/Van Roten/Turner/Williams

I would love to put Moton/Van Roten/Draft/Turner/Williams as an option but we all know that isnt happening.

Why is Kalil on there at all?

He ain't going anywhere mang... Panthers.com has a comeback fluff piece on him and we all know that we aren't going to take the amount of dead money that we would have to on the chin.

I'm slowly starting to accept that we have one more season of Kalil left... :(

Whatever helps you sleep at night. But Matt Kalil is done as a Panther. There is no reason to keep him any longer.
