Doesn't sound like this was his choice (might have been Norv Turner's).

There's also hints that he won't be the only one leaving.

If he moves to the Bama coaching staff under Nick Saban from Carolina coaching staff under Ron Rivera, he's been promoted.

And he'll probably make more $$$ there too.

Another patsy, our WR were fine except Funchess.   I am more interested what happened to Washington, is he officially not DC anymore and who is going to replace him?

Agreed on the second part. I have a feeling that how we saw things the last two or three games is how it will be next year: Washington as DC but RR calling/helping call plays.

Why is this guy considered a good coach? Does anyone here have experience under or with him? The expected number one target this year regressed to the point he was almost a healthy scratch, Curtis Samuel was used as mostly a runningback until Funchess was benched, and beyond D.J. Moore no one showed anything at receiver.

I couldn’t care less the guy was fired. Good move if you ask me. Like Scott or anyone else knows anything about this guy or his coaching abilities.

No one knows how good Taylor was or why we were moving on. It reminds me when Proehl was WR coach and everyone was pissed when he left. Who knows maybe he is coming back. I figure it is someone Norv likes. I suspect that Tepper sees Rivera and Turner as a team since it is likely that Norv is here because of Ron. If Ron were fired then Norv who I have read isn't interested in being a head coach, would likely retire again. I figure most folks felt Norv did a good job game planning around Newton's limitations and opposing teams strengths. They liked the offensive potential. And Rivera showed he can manage the defensive play calling. If you like Turner you are stuck with Rivera.
