Yeah, maybe. My expectation was that he would start the season (knowing Rivera), but not end it.

Moore certainly wasn't ready to start (and he probably lost at least one game for us by putting the ball on the ground). I was most disappointed with Samuel's usage. I know that people love Wright (who also put the ball on the ground once), but his usage may have been directed to Samuel"s relatively paltry number of snaps. I see Samuel as more than a gadget player, and that was probably my biggest beef this season (much bigger than the acquisition of Smith).

No other receiver every developed while we had Smitty and I think Smitty was a big reason why. We all loved him, but he was a typical star WR diva and he bullied the hell out of his teammates. It's tough enough transitioning to the NFL without having to deal with the star player at your position hindering your development.

...i like what i saw from this offense this year for the most part...it was an easy 10-11 game winning season if execution wasnt a problem...im going with Norv even if hes a pocked marked lizzard throated geezer...and yes...failed on my 2nd resolution for the year to quit dranking....

Doesn't sound like this was his choice (might have been Norv Turner's).

There's also hints that he won't be the only one leaving.

Only coaches in areas that there were issues. Of all the issues we had, WR was waaaaaaayyy down the list.

So, who coaches getting fired is the issue.

Rivera doesn't fire friends or long-termers. That's the problem.

Matsko has been working with a steaming pile of crap at times. I don’t view him as a weak link.

Last guy I’d expect not to be back, but looking back he didn’t really doing anything special, Funchess is still playing like a bum, which I believe is more on Funchess, Moore still having fumbling and lining up in the wrong position. Cmc was the only receiver we could count on
