Why doesn't Jake just come down with a phantom injury?

We all know that the reason Jake is continuing to start and will start again next week is because Fox and Hurney don't want to admit that they were wrong to give him that contract extension in the offseason. So why don't they save face for all parties involved by having Jake come down with some mysterious injury during practice? Maybe they could say he "injured his shoulder" while falling down in the bathroom or something. Things like this happen all the time in the NFL, why haven't they found an excuse to pull this piece of poo? Is it because they're idiotic that they honestly think that Jake is still a good quarterback? Is it because they think they have no chance with Matt Moore? Well guess what...we just had our asses handed to us by a team with RYAN FITZPATRICK at quarterback. You can't tell me that Ryan Fitzpatrick is better than Matt Moore.

So what gives with these assholes?

Until today, Jake is offered the team the best chance of winning, and I even agreed with that. But I think it has become painfully obvious that today Jake was the reason for the loss. I know many are going to grip about the play calling and game planning but I actually liked what I saw. The problem wasn't coaching, playcalling or personel (although Kasay and Moore didn't help matters any). The problem today was Delhomme. He no longer is the best option and thus I think we will see a switch next week. Or, oh God, I really hope so.

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see a change even after his performance today. Fox will throw special teams under the bus and simply say about Jake that "We're a 2-4 team right now. I think we all need to improve. Our record speaks for itself. There are a lot of ways we need to look to improve. We're not where we want to be right now." And then he'll either avoid again if pressed about Jake or he'll just come right out and say yet again that Jake will start.

Hopefully our D will take matters into their own hands during practice and separate this fool's shoulder and knock out our retarded coach as well.

Sounds good to me. I'm going to start rooting for Jake to suffer a minor injury that they can use as an excuse to pull him while saving face. Not an injury that will give him much trouble or one that will need rehab. Just one that they can jump on to bench him.

    • You realize the Commanders and Texans both had trash rosters. That's how they ended up with the #2 pick.   How all of sudden they go from bottom feeders to a playoff team the following season?   I think you don't realize the true impact of a franchise QB. It's crazy people still trying to debate the value of the QB position.   Y'all living in the 90's football isn't played that way anymore. The Baltimore Ravens dominate defense won in a different era. This is a QB era. You can't hit them like you could in the past. The rules have changed in favor of the QB.   Look at the elite teams in the league they all have elite QBs. Without the QB your franchise is going nowhere.   7 years under Tepper and fans still haven't realized this. Well keep ignoring the QB position and we will keep sucking. It's really that simple.
    • He needs to retire. His short stint returning to play for us showed Ho bad his shoulder had degraded.  No team is going to sign him. As soon as he retires the celebration of his career can begin.
    • The recipe over the last 5 years: 1. draft a guy with high athletic ability at a position of need.  2. play him out of his natural position because you have a big hole to fill. 3. watch him struggle.  4. let a young and promising talent grow depressed and apathetic because a God forsaken franchise is ruining what he has busted his ass his entire life to achieve.  The only reason Luke moved to the middle was because Beason got hurt. Think about that. It’s complete arrogance of the coaching staff to tell a player where he’s better suited… or the mark of a desperate team who drafts out of need.    This is what happens to teams that draft poorly and have no depth. Constantly working from behind and drafting for need.
