Anything that gets us out from under the Batum contract is a WIN right now..

Two 1st Rnd picks + Frank + Batum = Lopez + Parker

PG - Kemba - Parker
SG - Lamb - Monk
SF - MKG - Bridges
PF - Parker - Marvin
C - Lopez - Willy/Zeller

If you are the Hornets you do this 100%, especially with Zeller being out now for up to 6 weeks.  Batum actually fits pretty well on the Bulls and they may actually bite on 2 first rounders since they are clearly tanking.

In reality though I don't know if 2 firsts are enough to get a team to take on Batum's contract. It's that fuging bad.

I’m not trading a first rounder in this year’s draft, let alone an additional first for Lopez and Parker.

It’s very deep draft and if we start to slide I’d rather have our pick then Jabari Parker’s bum ass attitude.

Batum may be actual ass but he’s not causing locker room problems, more than I can say for Parker.

This mindset only works if we don't plan on retaining Kemba, but by all indications it looks like we are planning to max him.

2 future mid first rounders are not going to help Kemba and neither is Batum eating 30million in salary cap the next 2 and a half years. You do what ever you can to dump Batum while clearing as much salary as possible or taking back a player who can actually play Basketball. Also Parker is only on the books for the remainder of the season. He has a club option for 20million which we wouldn't be picking up. Lopez is also an expiring contract.

35 million will go a long way when it comes to re-signing Kemba and bringing him in some actual help.

We have his birdrights, we can give him a max without the space, it just comes down to Jordan wanting to go into the luxury tax which should be a no brainer.

Go into the luxury tax next year to resign Kemba and once Batum’s and Biyombo’s contracts expire the next year then we are out of it.

So we are taking Parker and Lopez and potentially giving up multiple lottery picks just to extend Kemba without going into the tax. If that’s the plan then just let Kemba go, quit ruining his career by not giving him any help.

For the record, people are kidding themselves if they don't think Batum picks up his player option.  He has 2 years left here, not 1.  Nobody is taking his contract right now...nobody is probably taking it next year either.  His final year (the player option), then it becomes a pretty valuable expiring deal...so he's not moving for 2 years.

He’ll play here next year and then some team will take that expiring the following year to try and open up space for AD, Lillard, or Ginnias.

There’s not a chance he is on the roster after next year.

So you extend Kemba in the offseason and go into the tax and after next year Biz’s contract expires and Batum’s is a valuable asset.

Attaching two first round picks to Batum would be super shortsighted, especially when the future of our roster consist of Kemba, Graham, and Bridges. We have to many holes to be trading first round picks.

I hear you, totally agree but in reality I seriously doubt we can unload him without taking back a bum just like him in return.  If we cut a year or two of salary in the deal, we start attaching 1st rounders.  Basically what u said but not into it.  Batum stinks but he is our stink.

Kup can’t be dumb enough to think attaching Frank means anything, right?

Agreed.

Michael Jordan is going to have to eat 100% of the pitiful contract he gave Nic Batum --- nobody is going to scrape that turd off of MJ's plate onto their own.
