What have Rivera and Hurney been up to?

It’s not really the draft that scares me with hurney. It’s managing our current players and overpaying for their services

He did a decent job of not being terrible at that last year too so I’m hopeful he can be solid.

If someone can figure out a way I can permanently ban chuck without shutting down all registrations let me know.

Did you guys ban the usual VPN ip ranges? he's using VPN and when you ban that IP he just uses a new one on the VPN. He can change to any state, country, etc while using a VPN.

You can ban all people on VPNs and ban his native IP. Dunno how many innocent people on here use VPNs to post here or w/e and at work I'd be banned along with some other people probably. But you can definitely restrict VPN usage on your website.

This is honestly where I see part of the problem.

If we're okay with having a guy back just because he did "not terrible", we've got a long way to go to build a championship team.

I would add that while I know the Huddle has a penchant for derailing topics, I've gotta say that going from a discussion of team management to a debate over the ethics of shooting woodpeckers has got to be a new high (or low, depending on your perspective)

Look at the homers in this thread who have 0 ammo left to defend their guys and instead thinking attacking members on this forum will get them to join the Church of the Panthers and believers in Ron 7:9.

This team is garbage. This coaching is garbage and the management is garbage. Bottom feeders for years to come tbh

And look at the critics who bash everyone and everything and add little to the forum. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, just like your posts. If you throw enough crap against the wall eventually something may stick.

I don’t disagree but despite our record you have to admit that last offseason was overall a success. Amazing draft class with 3 starters already contributing at an above average level, and a decent FA with the only real blemish being Poe not quite living up to expectations. If Hurney can continue to draft like this and avoid giving terrible players astronomical contracts then I’m fine with him sticking around. Of course that is yet to be seen and his track record before last year was not good. Maybe he’s changed, maybe he got lucky last year, I don’t know. We shall find out soon enough.

I judge the offseason by what happens in the season.

And do you think Hurney’s moves this offseason were the reason for our struggles? They were some of the only bright spots. This team had plenty of issues before DG was fired as shown by the sh*tshow that was 2016.

And we were 7-9 with 7 of those losses within one score, despite having a QB with no arm the last 2 months of the season. Not sure how that is on the GM. I blame Rivera for that, though I do acknowledge we probably would’ve had at least 10 wins with a fully healthy Cam.
