What have Rivera and Hurney been up to?

Did the defense improve after Rivera took over?

Not really.

Remember, Rivera took over against the Buccaneers, not the Saints. And while, he had a decent game against the Saints (who were slumping even before they got to us) they still failed when it counted the most.  The D wasn't anything special against anyone else.

Too funny.  A "gambler" is the last thing Tepper is.  Tepper is a problem solver, one of the best problem solvers in the world.  Speaking of hedge funds, my guys were up 28bps in December, how did your guys do?

i don't know how you can see to type with that so far down your throat.

You do know that the Bucs had the third best offense in the league this past season (higher than the Saints who were eighth)?  We only lost by a TD notwithstanding four INTs by Cam.

I've never been one to find "hey, the team we lost to was pretty good" or "well, at least we didn't lose by that much" statements especially comforting.

Me neither, but you said the defense didn't really improve, and when you look at the big picture, it really did.

Again, don't agree. I still saw us giving up big plays and sustained drives at times when being tired wasn't a viable excuse.

I don't doubt that Rivera is a better DC than Washington, but the problem is he's not our DC. He's our head coach, and not an especially good one.

If we get similar results next season

It will be yet another wasted season under a dinosaur head coach.

But by all means continue to defend the new "progressive" owner trotting Ron's old-fashioned incompetence out for another look-see.  Because Ron just doesn't yet have long enough of a track record to make a suitable judgement NOW, right?

Does Cam have a long enough record?

He sure does.

And its full of pictures of him carrying an incompetent head coach on his broad shoulders time and time and time and time again.

That's an argument just waiting to be propped up by great big doses of agenda-driven subjectivity.

What I see are people who tear Ron down for being imperfect and refuse to consider mitigating reasons and circumstances for his performance, and then make every excuse in the book for Cam's performance (even taking away from Rivera).

He is telling Ron and Marty how he wants things ran.

Why did it take him 4 days in January 2019 to do this when he had from May 2018 to September 2018 to do it?

And if he DID do that in the 2018 time period and Ron and Marty failed to execute his wishes, why do they still have jobs?
