More dominos falling... The Broncos are going with Bears DC (and original Panthers DC Vic Fangio. Meanwhile, the Browns have settled on OC Freddie Kitchens.

Wonder what that'll mean for Gregg Williams.

Now being reported that former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak may come out of retirement to be Vic Fangio's offensive coordinator.

If so, it's the same kind of role reversal that we have here with Rivera and Turner. Fangio was Kubiak's DC in Houston.

Also now hearing that our old friend Brentson Buckner is being let go by the Buccaneers.

That's interesting because Buckner was Arians' defensive line coach when he was coaching the Cardinals. Guess he doesn't want him on his new staff.

   I can’t believe Freddie Kitchens is an NFL head coach. Last time I saw him was his SR year at Bama and he was passed out face down at a club in Tuscaloosa. Seems to have grown up a lot since then. Wish him the best except against the Steelers. 

   Sort of surprised that Carmichel and Campbell haven’t gotten much attention. At this point One has to think Carmichel doesn’t come across well in interviews.

What might also hurt Carmichael is that people don't know how much is him and how much is Payton.

Loved Buckner when he was with Carolina thought he was a great leader and locker room guy and wished we would have kept him one more year.

There's hints the Panthers aren't exactly his favorite organization these days.

I can see that, but with teams dying to get someone from a great offensive system, how has he not, Lafleur didn’t call plays in LA, and the Titans offense wasn’t good. And Kingsbury is borderline unexplainable. Your theory is why I wanted to get them both. Campbell as HC and Carmichel to OC and get a shot without Peyton. Pipe dream.

I think Kingsbury is best explained by the fact that the Cardinals are a terrible organization.

More than one analyst has pointed to the fact that a lot of teams are trying to find the next Sean McVay when the Colts, for example, had success with someone that wasn't considered one of the "hotter" candidates (except by some folks like me).

    Trying to find the next “anything” usually doesn’t work out to well.

He was just never the type of player you saw becoming a coach. But things change.
