Do You Think We Can Patch Up Both Oline and Dline Before 2019 Starts?

All the Colts stating O-line were picked #40 or higher.

Doesn't take top 40 picks to build an O line. Norwell was undrafted and Williams was a 4th rounder and both were awesome last year. Moton wasn't drafted until the 64th pick. Seems to me that good players can be found up and down the draft.

Norwell didn't perform as great in Jacksonville last year before getting hurt. Williams had 1- good year but don't see him as Pro Bowl player every year. Moton was great pick will agree with you but looks more like a RT than a Pro Bowl LT.Players can be found up and down the draft but that also goes for finding D-Line.We have Cam coming into the prime of his career why not give him a top 10 O-Line as a group? The Colts figured the best way to get back as a playoff team was to protest the franchise QB why not do the same here .

Norwell played in Jacksonville this year. Last year he played for us. Williams was great last year and until he was injured was reportedly doing very well this year  Moton reportedly played well at Right and Left Tackle and only played RT all year because Williams went down and Clark was better on the left side versus the right.

Everyone wants a good O line but honestly injuries were our biggest issue not talent. At one point Kalil was our only original starter playing that week.  If Williams returns healthy we have most positions soundly locked up. Turner is in the probowl this year while Williams and Moton will man RT and left tackle respectively. We have several good candidates at left guard and center not counting free agency and the draft. We are going to have a good line with backups with starting experience if injuries hit like this year.

Turner should have not made the Pro Bowl this year. Watch the tape of the Nelson kid that is the kind of Lineman we need it's a pancake every play if he gets hands on you. I rather not sign Williams unless it's a cheap deal and use that money to maybe sign either the Vikings Center or Marpet from Tampa or both. First round go for the best Offense Tackle then look for D-Line in the 2nd & 3rd. rounds

There won't be a bunch of big name signing on either side of the line. We don't have the cap for it. And no,  picking an O tackle wouldn't be a good deal at 16 given the dearth of OT talent versus getting the best center or guard in the draft or a stud at DE or corner.  Williams and Moton are solid players regardless of your assessment and will man the tackle positions. And Turner was certainly good enough to garner a probowl nod deserved or not . Not sure where your analysis is coming from but it doesn't fit with the general sense of most folks about our line.

We need a Stud LT more than a DE if we want to keep our QB healthy. I'm pretty sure most would agree that the O-line needs a upgrade. Out of the teams who made the playoffs who can you say we will have a better o=line than them next year with your ideas to fix it ?

We should have a top 15 offensive line if Williams comes back and everyone stays healthy as it is.. Our O.line coaches are very good and do a great job getting the most out of what they have.. The problem this year was we had so many injuries that we didn't have enough backups to start and enough backups to back them up. Guys like Clark came off the sofa to start this year. With a good offseason and draft we should be fine with whoever is back there. This offense will help the line as long as the QB doesn't hold the ball all day.

Unfortunately our lines are a multi year fix. If we draft smart we can add a Center, DE, DT and SS who will either start or play significant minutes. FA can add OG, OLine depth and DT. But we have so many holes it is not going to happen in one season.

Yeah, that is pretty much what I said last offseason. We are in the midst of rebuilding. It was going to happen eventually.

Luckily we have some nice young pieces to build around.

In my opinion, I think we should concentrate more heavily on the OL. If we get that good, once Cam is back healthy, and with these talented receivers, I think we are set to be an offensive juggernaut in the mold of the rams or the chiefs.

But we got hurney and Rivera, so that won’t happen...

As I said in my other thread, I believe we will be worse off of we do not upgrade the center position. Larsen is good solid depth at center and guard, but we will be downgrading on an already questionable O line. FA may need to be the goal unless we spend a high draft pick and go with the growing pains of adjustments and calls from a rookie.

This free agent class for oline looks god aweful.  And not that much top shelf talent in the draft either.

Good year to rebuild your dline but not oline.  Especially when youre picking 16th and may be limited to bpa

I agree but I believe our line will be fine IF we re sign Williams for the right tackle position and out Moton on the left. Turner is good and Roten played well during his first season, not Norwell level, but solid. The key is center. If we get one on the second/this round that would be ideal, let them compete with Larsen and may the best one win. I think it’s a mistake to pencil Larsen in at center, when we can definitely upgrade this position and improve our line.
