Shout out for Kyle Love

The guy got canned by the Patriots because of his diabetes (very hard disease to control and remain strong.) Was released by us and then re signed. Dude has had to battle his whole NFL career and he is still standing. He was the best player on this Dline all season and gave 100% every snap...can't say the same for the rest of the group.

He deserves the respect.

For real, bring him back. He single handily made sure that our DT position wasn’t utter poo. Kyle Love gives more effort than Short, Poe, and Butler combined.

I know we don’t like PFF but Love graded out as the 32nd ranked interior defensive lineman. That’s borderline starter quality from a rotational d-lineman.

Kyle Love needs to enter the roster of guys like Mike Minter, Brad Hoover, Jake Delhomme, Al Wallace and Mike Rucker as the ultimate lunch pail guys that get out there and give everything they've got. The stars get the spotlights, but without guys like Kyle Love, you never really have a team or a shot.

He won't get a statue here, or even a retired jersey, but darned if there shouldn't be a mural with him and those other guys leading to the locker room and on the way out to the practice field.

Was our most consistent defensive lineman this year

In a position group of extreme disappointment (Short, Poe, & Butler) he really stood out for his effort.

And not to say that the effort wasn't lacking (b/c it was), but I do wonder if some of it was a function of Washington's play calls.  The group collectively did seem to play better when Rivera (finally) took over.

Regardless, Kyle Love has my utmost respect.
