Tepper won't speak

Recommended Posts

The guy is a billionaire who runs one of the biggest hedge funds (Appaloosa Management) in the world. The stock market has been schizo recently and his business model pays out to massive investors to offset their market losses AND also targets distressed businesses to buy. Right now his company is very busy taking care of their clients (some who may have massive losses to offset) while trying to make huge gains in a target rich environment.

It's also New Year's Eve, he has a family and a huge social calendar.

In his world, this is a relatively minor thing right now. Also, there is a contract in place for the current coach so if there is no change coming, he certainly doesn't have to publicly address something that is already written out in black and white.

He doesn't need to speak, we know just what he's going to be saying, so please stop explaining, don't tell us cause it will hurt.  He doesn't need to speak, we know what he's thinking, and don't need no reasons.  Don't tell us cause it hurts.

I know it really good oooohhh

would love them both gone. I'll take at least 1.

TBH, I think Kyle Allen saved their jobs... at least Marty's.  Allen gave us a glimpse of what our offense could be with a QB with a good arm and some accuracy.  I love Cam, but I'm not gonna lie...it was nice seeing a QB hit the deep ball and deliver in the red zone.  It was also kind of nice to see more snaps under center.

I'm not sure if Kyle Allen is the future or not, but he did symbolize that we're really not that far away on offense, and we may operate better in a more traditional offensive set.  Which means coming to the hard truth that Cam may be holding us back in a weird way by not being able to operate a traditional offense at a high level.  It was bad news for Cam.  Allen's performance clearly outline Cam's play being a problem.  We all love Cam.  He has a long leash....but that cat needs some competition.  He needs to know he can lose his job if he doesn't start balling out.

I remember, back in the 1980's, liberal/progressive Hollywood used to make movies about these kinds of guys.

At the end of the day this is the guy Jerry Richardson pushed for.

At the end of the day it's the guy who paid 2.2 billion in cash. Richardson didnt push for him....not sure where you came up with that. He was angry the offers weren't higher.

do owners usually come out and say, "We are keeping our coach." ? Just because fans want the coach fired? He has done just about as much as he can for the fans in one year. all black uniforms every week...lol  Now is the business side of the NFL.

Not sure how this Tepper clown amassed billions of dollars by not having knee jerk reactions and off the cuff decision making.  Somthuns up with that...

Its a known fact that businessmen who become billionaires always make the right choices every time and are experts across the spectrum... business, sports, the arts, you name it.

Amirite?

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
