NCFan NFL Mock Draft Feb 19th update

1. Arizona: Quinnen Williams- Kingsbury is a offensive guy who is taking over a team that was struggling on D. Everyone is quickly jumping to them taking Bosa. But Bosa isnt the most ideal fit for them. The Cardinals are going back to a 3-4 defense. Chandler Jones best season was 2 seasons ago when they were in a 3-4, so they have a terror on the edge. What they dont have is that interior threat. Williams is a Beast on the interior, and is familiar with the defense as he played the 3-4 at Alabama.

2. 49ers: Bosa- no question here, 49ers jump to grab the top player in the draft on most big boards

3. Jets: Josh Allen- jets have been looking for that edge defender for years.

4. Jax (via Raiders): Dwayne Haskins- they need a QB BAD, and going to target the top QB in the draft, Giants have their eyes on Haskins so Jags move up. Gruden doesnt get Bosa or Allen so is fine moving back to grab additional 3rd and a 2020 4th

5. Tampa: Jonah Williams- their LT is a FA, and he is better suited at RT. Williams comes in and helps a struggling OL. Bucs are moving to a new defense system so will need help there. But Arians says they want to build around Winston, so getting him protection is Huge.

6. Giants: Jaawan Taylor- Gettleman's favorite. BigUglies. And he gets one at RT. Monster RT to help pave hole for Barkley

7. Raiders (via Jax): Rashaan Gary- Big Freak, they like the possibility of grooming him.

8. Detroit: Clelin Ferrell- Lions lose Ziggy to FA, so they tap into this talented DL class.  Ferrell is a SOLID 4-3 DE.

9. Denver: Drew Lock- Elway sounds if he is going to keep swinging for a QB.  They traded for Flacco, but they get another Strong armed QB to groom under him

10. Buffalo: Dk Metcalf- Freak, gives Josh Allen a true #1 target. Megatron style Freak.

11. Cinci: Devin White- new coach, he isnt going to lut up with Burffect snd cut him.

12. GreenBay: Ed Oliver- need Edge rushers, but cant pass on Oliver. Oliver who has been compared to Aaron Donald for several years, jumps right into that same 3tech spot Donald plays in the 3-4. Gives them a solid interior pressure.

13. Miami: Kyler Murray- Miami is done with Tannehill and needs to inject some excitement into that organization. Murray gets all of South Beach excited, especially after watching his performance in the loss to Bama at HardRock Stadium. Rumors going around they want a QB out of 2020. But they wont pass on the Murray Hype.

14. Atlanta: Christian Wilkins- their top DL is a FA. Wilkins can take his spot, OR pair well with

15. Washington: Greedy Williams- Redskins are in a position they can cut Norman. The team has little Cap space more import players needing to be worked on extension. And need wiggle room with the uncertainty of the QB position there. Greedy is a solid replacement for Norman

16. Carolina: Montez Sweat- panthers need MAJOR help at DE.

17. Cleveland: Greg Little - Browns need help protecting Mayfield

18. Tennessee: Brian Burns - Titans just can't get over the idea of pairing Burns and Harold Landry for the next few years. But who wouldnt?

19. Minnesota: Dalton Risner - they spent Alll that money on that QB there, and have00 one of the best worst OL in football. You better believe they will turn attention here

20. Pittsburgh: Devin Bush- CB is the big popular need by mockers.  But the of Shazier really hurt this defense.  Bush isnt the speedster freak of Shazier, but very comparable in every other aspect

21. Seattle: Deionte Thompson- Thompson has a pretty big Fall, seahawks have a Earl Thomas size hole to fill at FS.   Thompson's stock was sky high up until the last few weeks of the season.  Kid is Young and has TONS of talent.  I fully expect him to be atop the safety class post combine

22. Baltimore: Josh Jacobs-Ravens could go elsewhere. Ravens like Jacobs who is a guy who can handle the rock and help Lamar Jackson. Jacobs is the better APY back coming out of Bama. Ravens love Bama boys too

23. Houston: TJ Hockenson - need MAJOR help blocking for Watson. They dont feel a OL is worth the pick here. But a Elite level TE, who also happens to be one of the best Blocking TE to come out in a few years. Also provides a big recieving target for Watson

24. Raiders (Bears): Marquise Brown- "Holloywood"!!! They lost Cooper so they add a absolute playmaker at WR here
25. Philly: Nassir Adderley- athletic Saftey, too good to pass up for Philly

26. Indy: Deandre Baker- adding help to the D, helping improve that secondary.  Baker is a steal for them here.

27. Raiders (dallas): Byron Murphy- Raiders addressing a major need here

28. Patriots: Jeffrey Simmons- was a top 10 prospect prior to tearing his ACL

29. Chargers: Dexter Lawerence- Monster NT who will help Eat blockers for Bosa

30. Rams: Cody Ford- Ive seen scouts say they like Ford better at OG, and Rams stud LG is a FA. Theyll try to replace him here

31. KC: Trayvon Mullen- chiefs need to draft hard on D. Starting at CB is a good start. Mullen is Solid, but his potential is through the roof

32. GB (saints): Jachai Polite- Oliver and Polite injected into that defense is a Huge win for Greenbay.

Round 2

33. Arizona: Andre Dillard- one of the leagues worst OL.

34. Colts: N'Keal Harry- strong handed, Good Athlete, big WR to pair with TY Hilton.  Harry reminds me of DeAndre Hopkins coming out.

35. Raiders: Noah Fant- raiders starting TE is a FA. So Chucky goes and get one of the biggest freaks in the draft that also plays that position

36. 49ers: Taylor Rapp- 49ers Secondary was among the leagues worst last year.  Some have Rapp as a 1st round talent.  After watching Neal's effect in Atlanta.  Shanahan loves the pick

37. Giants: Daniel Jones- Giants didnt grab a QB round 1 but get Lucky here. Jones has learned under the guy who taught Eli. Now will come in and sit under Eli for a year

38. Jaguars: Kelvin Harmon- go to target with some size for the rookie QB Haskins. Jags just didnt have real threat at WR after losing Robinson

39. Bucs: Charles Omenihu- Arians 3-4 D dominated with Calais Campbell at DE. Omenihu is very similar with size, athletic ability and skills.

40. Bills: Chris Lindstrom- monster OG has Beane drooling.

41. Denver: Amani Oruwariye

42. Bengals: Irv Smith Jr- the loss of Tyler Eifert hurt. Smith Jr is a solid addition to the offense

43. Lions: Chauncey Gardner Johnson

44. Greenbay: Kaden Smith Jr

45. Atlanta: JoeJuan Williams- Atlanta loves their Big Physical CBs and they add another one here.

46. Washington: Will Grier- they rush to the podium to grab this one.

47. Carolina: Garrett Bradbury

48. Miami: Riley Ridley- Dolphins traded Landry now they sound like they are going to cut Devante Parker. Finding a recieving threat is a Huge need here.

49. Cleveland: Jerry Tillery- big athletic interior DT to add to that young DL

50. Vikings: Mack Wilson- Anthony Barr is a FA and probably won't be resigned

51. Titans: Dremont Jones- really good 3-tech DT

52. Steelers: Julian Love

53. Eagles: Damien Harris- Eagles offense just wasnt the same without Ajayi. Harris is another big physical RB just like him

54. Texans: Beau Benzschawel

55. Texans: Yodney Cajuste- Houston adds 2 OL in a Row.

56. NE: Jaylon Ferguson- NE has some big FA on the DL. They take 2 risk but could be a Big reward in the 1st 2 rounds

57. Philly: Deebo Samuels- dont see them getting a WR in FA so they get the South Carolina playmaker

58. Dallas: Jace Sternberger- they found their #1 WR, now need to find the TE to replace Witten

59. Colts: Joe Jackson- Freak DE prospect, really Raw but has Big upside

60. Chargers: Tevon Coney

61. KC: Jonathon Abram

62. Saints: Vosean Joseph

63. KC: Oshane Ximines- KC first 3 picks all on D.

64. NE: Ryan Finley

FA: Predictions

Bell- Jets
Suh- Raiders
Lemarcus Joyner- Bucs
Golden Tate- Jets
Deshean Jackson- Steelers
Tevin Coleman- 49ers
Green Bay cuts Jimmy Graham
Arizona- Jimmy Graham

A few other bold Predictions.

Leveon Bell ends up a Jet.  Jets have money to spend.  They have a young up and coming Defense and expect to still add young talented pieces to it via draft.  The $$ will be spent adding tools around the young QB.  Darnold got Pressured a lot last year, and the stud RB will take some focus and pressure off him

Joe Flacco to Washington

Nice work OP.  I personally am warming to the Florida kid Polite.  Pretty explosive.  Gary would definitely be awesome.

Polite is a good ball player just bad fit here at 6'2 240.  He's a true 3-4 OLB in the NFL

I love the Sweat pick. I liked him prior to the senior bowl but if he’s there I will be very happy.

Bradbury is good and I wouldn’t be unhappy with the pick. I’m still reading that he is susceptible to the bull rush, he doesn’t anchor as well as Jenkins and McCoy, but draft network think he has fantastic mobility which is key for modern OL.

I think I would prefer an OT or G in round 2. But essentially this is what we need. Edge and OL in the first 2 rounds.

I don’t think Bell will go to the Jets. He has made disparaging comments about them on media. As an FA he controls his destination. I could see AB going there however.

The problem with mocking edge rushers to the Panthers is that every team picking ahead of us (with the exception of Denver) have a need there. The only thing that outweighs it is the QB position, but even if the teams we hope target QBs, it’s still possible that Bosa, Ferrell and Sweat are gone.

If that happens who is the fallback? Ximines? Omenihu? Miller?

Not sure if I like picking up the 5th best edge rusher with our first round pick. Feel like we could get better value elsewhere and pick up an edge in 2nd or 3rd instead

5th best edge rusher in this group is equivalent to about the 2nd-3rd in most every other class.

The value with the 5th edge ruser is better than about every other position there on the board minus maybe CB.
