I doubt Tepper followed the Panthers too closely before the team went up for sale and he got into bidding.  So going in he probably had the mistaken idea that Ron, 2 time coach of the year was a solid coach.

Now, before dropping that 2.5b... or hell, at the very least afterwards, you'd think he'd have taken the time to rewatch the Panthers games of the Rivera era.  Apparently he did not though, because if he had, theres no way clown shoes is still employed by us today.

^ this 100%. Why are we so committed to making “Ron” a good HC? What we’re saying is we HOPE he eventually becomes something he isn’t right now. HOPE is not a strategy.
