Cam does seem like a spur of the moment type of guy.  I wouldnt read too much into the comment. Really its a shame that the media would even ask him "why not Cam?"  Its clear they wanted to start some poo.

As for Newton's long-time friend, center Ryan Kalil, he said as difficult as the decision is, it is a smart move for the organization when it comes to the long term.
