Bet nobody would’ve said Delhomme was better than Brooks until he got a shot. Same with Brady and Bledsoe. Not saying Allen is remotely near them, but he only threw one pass in his first three preseason games. Not many opportunities.

I agree. My contention is that it takes a little time to be "ready!"

Hell, Fox thought a broken down Rodney Peete gave us a better chance to win. Remember the "open competition"?

We don't exactly have a stellar history in this department, do we?

Nope and had Peete not sucked that bad, we’d probably never have gotten to see what Jake really could do
