Do you believe we can compete next year?

I'm taking it step-by-step. With Hurney still at the helm and some important personnel decisions coming up I'm just not confident, given his history.

I also thought that the Saints were set for bottom feeding last season and this due to their cap situation but we see how that turned out for them.

We are in the same place it feels like we are every 5yrs. Some budding talent to be excited about, but a lot of holes and more to come.

Rather than getting high or low over it, I'll stay even keel and take things as they come to us.

I personally believe that we have a brighter future than what many believe. If we re sign Williams we can have the best set of tackles the team has ever had wit Moton on the left, plenty of talent on O with very exciting players in D.J. Moore and Samuel, Greg and Thomas, and CMC.  If we retool the D, sign some established coaches on D such as wilks as a secondary/assistant coach role I believe we can come back strong if we have a solid FA and draft which could be a top 10 pick. This is just my opinion and we all have them, so with that being said......

Whats your opinion?

Smith was still playing at a high level, 2 stud tight ends in Shockey and Olsen, 2 great running backs, and still the best OLine Cam has ever played with. Not to mention a young and innovative OC to go with. Its actually infuriating the think about

i don't see what some of you are seeing.

from a roster standpoint, mccaffrey is the only one that doesn't need to be seriously evaluated.

there are vets that need to be let go and young players that show flashes of potential, but really haven't shown they can be relied on.
