Quinnen is a straight up stud. Absolute monster. Im not even sure if Bosa will be the #1 pick. Quinnen is the best DT prospect to come out since Suh.

Reminds me more of Aaron Donald

Who came out after Suh

Suh just dominated physically throwing people around.

Williams like Donald is on the lighter side 280-290 but super quick.  I dont know anyone who fires off the line as fast as those 2.  There were a couple of points last night that he got off so quick, it looked like he was jumping offside beating the snap.  But once they replayed it, he wasnt, just timing perfect and firing off.  The OL had nothing they could do, as he beat them before they could get out of their stance.

He was already up to 1b.  To Bosa after the Iron Bowl.  Now imo Bosa is 1b. To him unil combines start and Bosa can show what he has (no one has seen what Bosa has in over a year as he sat out this year)

I'm really not getting this Rashan Gary hype. His collegiate career statistically is very pedestrian. Can someone point me historically of a guy who had similar statistics and became a hall of famer or pro-bowler in the NFL? Because right now the only guys I remember being picked top 10 range in the last decade with similar college production became busts. (Barkevious Mingo, Dion Jordan, Tyson Jackson).

Not to mention edge rushers just have a huge bust rate in general when picking at the top 10 range. I know we really need an edge rusher but I don't want us to reach. I want us to get the best player available. If we're thinking of a tweener which a lot of folks consider Gary, then Ed Oliver is the only guy I see with any amount of certainty of reaching pro-bowl potential. His recent little fiasco with his coaches and folks questioning his size (too small to be DT in NFL? Some think he's really 270 lb) is pushing him down in mock drafts. We may have a shot at him. He can play any position in the line 3-tech, NT, DE. Watching him against Louisville vs the athletic Lamar Jackson pretty much sold me that this kid will be great in the NFL.

Also worth noting that Oliver likes horses. (continuing Panther tradition of legends with horses, Delhomme and Norman) =)

Dude is legit.

Again taking that with a grain of salt.  ESPN guys bounce around all the time, see Kiper say he'd retire if Clausen wasnt a star (he still hasn't)

80% of the people out there have Ferrell ahead.

Again both Good players.  Ferrell just has the edge.

All of the Clemson DL are overrated. I’ll take the guy from SEC any day like Simmons.

Derrick Brown is being so underrated on this board.

Pair him with KK and no matter who our DEs are, they will be able do damage.

Tbh we need to switch to a 34. Our DEs are basically 34OLBs.

Draft also for defense 2nd Juilan Love as our NB to future outside CB and 3rd round NC State LB Pratt as TDs true replacement.

Free Agent pick up Sheldon Richardson, Gunter, sign Love for 1 more year. Cut Poe. ERFA Obada and Cox Jr. Resign Horton. Sign Za'Darius Smith. Sign Honey Badger 3 yr for FS and resign Reid for SS.

June 1st Matt Kalil. Restructure Luke, Mario, and KK.

KK Brown Richardson (Dline)

Addison Luke Pratt Smith (LB)

Bradberry Mathieu Reid DJax

That is a scary defense on paper. Aggressive, fast and playmakers.

I wonder if Josh Allen could be a Khalil Mack type player for us?

Yeah I don’t understand why people are fixated on “43 DE” metrics. The best rushers in the game right now are all Allen’s size or smaller. Mack, Miller, (6’3” 250). Put another 15lbs on Allen and he’s Bradley Chubb’s size. He’d be a great pick at 7 if he’s still there.

I think Bosa and Williams are both locks for top 5, possible top 2, so I will get the "won't be there" out of the way early.

If we end up picking around 10th I could actually see Bosa, Gary(if you consider him a DE, and Ferrell being off the board.

Who would be the 4th DE you would consider and would it be a reach at that point?

My way too early guess is that a DT, OT, or LB will possible be the best value at that point.

Bosa, Williams, Greedy, 1-2 QBs, 1 OT, Ferrell and or Josh Allen, Thompson, Ed Oliver all guys who will most likely go before us.  Gary has a Real Good shot of falling to us

Ed Oliviers production looks like Gary’s production from what I saw. Plus Gary played out of position. Gary has consistently been the best prospect in his class. Ed is elite. But if end is the biggest need we have why take a defensive tackle. If they have similar grades(Gary has a higher grade by most scouts) why say u know what I want a tackle.

thats how we got butler and Shaq. No thanks.

Every scout I look at has Gary rated higher than Ferrell Allen Thomson and Oliver. So realistically it’s probably the other way around. Gary being the best case scenario.

Some have him ahead of Thompson and maybe Oliver.  But only so many DEs are going to be drafted.  Allen is real high up the and a 3-4 OLB.  So depending on the team.  3-4 teams will have Allen at the top.  Ferrell and Gary, it just depends on the writer who has who higher.  Oliver is a Elite inside 3 tech who can fit any defense really well (I get Gary plays in a 3-4 and plays well, but Oliver plays the same no matter what D like a Aaron Donald)

ESPN is about the only one who has Gary ahead of those btw

Allen is 230 pounds from what I have seen him listed. Should not be something the panthers are discussing unless we switching to a 3-4. Even then he is on the light side.

Allen is 260, but yes should not be considered as he has never played his hands in the dirt.  Converted WR to standup OLB.

Btw and Gary isnt really higher than many of those guys.  He should be around our range

I’m a yuge Clemson fan.  I personally hope Panthers stay away from that DL.

Simple for me.  I think they are the best DL in college football and it ain’t close.   But I still think it is a collective unit that dominates college.  I don’t think any of them on there own are dominating NFL players.

Plus, going of history.  Clemson isn’t where you find DL players in the NFL.  Adams, Bowers, Beasley, etc.
