UGA played a dam near perfect game, and they are young.  They werent repeating that performance.  And as much crap Ohio State took for Purdue punching them in the mouth.  UGA took a bad loss to LSU.

 

Ohio State has the guys in the trenches on BOTH sides.  A solid secondary.  A pro prospect QB with athletes all around on O. The Ohio State team that beat Bama in 2014 and won it all was a 1 loss team

You obviously can’t take an undefeated ND team out of the playoff’s but they didn’t pass the eye test either. It was wishful thinking that either one of these games were going to be close.

At what point do you quit looking at Notre Dame, because they are "Notre Dame"

I get they are undefeated.......but so is UCF

Barr, is kinda similar to Vic Beasley.  Fits that specific D.

He is athletic enough.  But doesnt have the coverage skill and isnt natural there.  He is a standup rusher, aka a 3-4 OLB

It’s amazing how much better bama and Clemson are that the rest of the teams and this has been the case for a while

Georgia is right there.  If the playoff committee actually picked based on the best team they would have gone over Notre Dame who had no business being in there, despite their record.

I don't care what their record was this season,  most of the country knew ND wasn't the 3rd best team in the country.

They embarrassed themselves on the national stage... AGAIN. If they have a good season next year the people who rank the teams will probably try again to force them into the top 4 and we'll get a repeat of what happened tonight.

If they want ND in the playoffs that badly every year then you need to expand the field to 8 teams. 

1) That's only one extra game week of games

2 ) You'd likely get most, if not all of the Power 5 conferences involved each year.

3) You'd have a room to add a deserving non conference team to the mix

4) More bowls could participate and increase their relevance. 

5) A great team that didn't win it's conference championship  (like Georgia) could still get into the tournament. 

6) When the pundits inevitably attempt to force ND into the mix there's less chance of them keeping a deserving  team out of the playoff. Based on their BCS/Playoff history they'll go out in the first round and we won't have to worry about them making it to the final 4.
