Presume they sit Michael Thomas too. Who do you think gets the most targets at WR for the Saints? @Iron Saint @saints4lifeagain

As my colleague has stated, I’d expect a lot of Keith Kirkwood along with Austin Carr and Tommylee Lewis. Thomas may get a drive or two along with Tre’Quan Smith. Ginn likely going to sit to prevent re-injuring himself.

I’m expecting a ground heavy attack. Ingram may get some light work before being pulled for the remainder of the game and handing the workload over to Dwayne Washington.

bet u the Saints are trying to give away tickets..

Not exactly. Considering season tickets are sold out the only tickets the team might eat are the ones returned from the visiting team allotment.

Now, season ticket holders that aren’t interested in a “5th preseason game” and want to sell may end up giving theirs away. I’ll be there though.

Yeah, it really didn’t blossom into the “winner take all” game we were expecting it to when our teams were sitting at 7-1 and 6-2. Even I was on the record here in many posts saying the division was likely going to come down to our Week 17 game with the winner taking the division like the Colts-Titans game.

I was thinking this game was going to be of enough importance that it’d be the one chosen to be flexed to SNF; I’m always hoping we get as many home primetime games we can get, LOL, but instead we get a duel of backup QB’s in a glorified preseason game.

It’s really a conflict of interests for both teams, honestly. For us, we’d love to get that 14th win and post the best regular season record in our franchise’s history, but at the same time we want to both a.) try to get through this game with no additional injuries, and b.) get some of our starters a slight bit of work to avoid being too rusty after our Wildcard bye week. For you guys, y’all don’t want slide down the draft order any further for a largely meaningless win but at the same time don’t want to drop a 5th consecutive game to us.

But that’s fair enough, I can’t fault you guys for not pulling for us. I’d be a hypocrite to say y’all should be pulling for us because I know I was tuning in to root against y’all in 2015. I was mad af watching the NFC Championship against the Cardinals, LOL. But hey, that’s the beauty in a sports rivalry: if your team isn’t doing well, the closest thing to that euphoric feeling is enjoying a bit of schadenfreude of your rivals.

Thomas needs 40 yards (I think) to set the team single season record, so they may give him that shot. Then again, Brees needs 8 yards for his 13th consecutive 4000 yard season, and we're sitting him.

Thomas is 24 yards short of the single season receiving record (1376 to 1399 - Joe Horn).
