as for his FA signings this year poe was good at the time we need a replacment for starr unforn it did'n work out also cockwell was a good signing but got hurt in TC also Anderson looks like a good signing but coaches decided not to play him for whatever reason.

"Good" isn't enough.

Marvin Lewis is good.

Dennis Green was good.

Marty Schottenheimer was good.

If "good" is satisfactory to you, then Ron Rivera is fine.

That's not enough for me. I want championships, and I don't believe for a second that Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney are capable of bringing those home.

So now I don't want a championship?

I can't even take anything you say seriously anymore.

Right.  People looking at Cam's injury in a vacuum without all the considerations.  Ron "I would have taken the shot too" Rivera is the main reason Cam has been subject to excessive hits over the years that have had a cumulative effect on his health.  This guy hasn't put adequate protection around him, and saddled him with Shula for the majority of his pro career drawing up plays with crayons because he couldn't get around his own stubborness to recognize the need to make changes.  He just sees Cam as this immortal battering ram and I'm sick of it.

Good point.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if after everything Rivera said today, that Tepper fires him on Monday? A girl can dream.

The look on Ron's face would be priceless.  Heres hoping.

A lot of folks seem to feel that way.  And also that he needs someone else to manage the clock, another guy in charge of when to use challenges, someone to help evaluate the depth chart etc.  Pretty much, Ron would be a great HC if he only had to worry about calling the D.... Except on 3rd and long, lets get him another guy to handle the decision making in those circumstances.  We do all that and then Id be fine with Ron hanging around looking lost on the sideline another year.

In other words  he should just worry about being a DC.
