Breer believes the Panthers will make no changes

Well we all only have a few more days to speculate,...

until then lovers and haters will do the dance,..

the fact is everyone keeps yelling and speculating like they know the answer but ultimately no one knows except the hedge fund magician,..

who doesn’t build or actually lead or manage anyone,.. just speculates with dirty money like staring at the Matrix screen,..

he isn’t Conrad Hilton or Walt Disney or Elon Musk or someone who actually built things, changed society and “put a dent in the universe” as Steve Jobs would say.

so how does a man that speculates money for a living but none of the things mentioned give off any vibes whatsoever of what he will do next?

You mean like he did last time?

How many winning seasons did we have out of the first eleven years under Marty again?

Heck, we had a playoff team last year. One season later we're looking at the worst collapse in history.

Do you really want to give the architect of that collapse more time to put his stamp on the team?

I'd like change to be the right change.

I'd give Tepper and co. all the time they need. This isn't a bad team/franchise. He's busy building a new HQ and practice facility for the long haul. We may need to adjust expectations as far as firings.

Most likely a move on from the current regime will mean wholesale change in the near future. The man has to fix all the organizational rot from Jerry running a lean business that was cutting fat and paying shareholders everyother season.

Where Jerry was focused on the money making business the focus on the business of winning is where Tepper wants to direct the franchise and thus has no partners or shareholders to satisfy.

If Tepper believes the FO wasn't built for winning and feels he can use who he's already got and be the leader they need to succeed more power to him. He's probably smarter than most of us here anyways, have at it.

Really disappointed Ron isn’t etting can,it really speak volumes when your team is 6-2 and you couldn’t even find a way to win 1-2 games to keep playoff hopes but I can’t blame tepper either, we’ll just have to wait a bit longer for Ron to do something ron will do and get himself fired

Who did Hurney draft in 2017 again?

Giving Marty Hurney credit for the 2017 offseason makes about as much sense as blaming Taylor Heinicke for this season's struggles.

I know Hurney sucks, but you have a significant anti-Hurney bias. Do you attribute 2013 to Hurney or Gettleman?

Marty Hurney is terrible at building complete rosters. Hence, why the Panthers only have three winning seasons under twelve years of his leadership.

This.

Hurney's rosters are consistently paper thin and riddled with holes.  This season was no exception.

Not having a competent backup QB on the roster is the main reason Ron failed to pull Newton when it was obvious that there was something seriously wrong with his arm and the Panthers season was in free fall.

So yes, Hurney and Ron are the ones primarily responsible for the Panthers historically bad finish this season, not Cam, and they should have to answer for it.

MMQB for December 24

So, possible we go into next season, and a major retooling of the team, with Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney running the show.

Oy :eyeroll:

Hurney had a "good rapport" with Richardson too. Unfortunately, he stinks at building winning rosters. That didn't matter to Richardson, of course. The hope was that it mattered to Tepper, but here we are.

Likewise, Rivera's coaching deficiencies will probably go unchecked. Tepper apparently believes analytics will make Ron a better coach.  We'll see, but I'm not buying that as a "cure all".

Regardless, another year of Ron and Marty looks to be on the horizon.

So...who's excited for next season? :poison:

Well, there you go lads, the definition of insanity.
