This team's roster is complete. It's the coaching that has a hard time getting the talent on the field and developing.  If you think Every team has multiple Hall of Famers/Honorable mention (studs) on the roster then I can't debate with you. I will disagree though

I'm guessing you either haven't been watching football very long or don't watch a lot of football outside of Panthers football.

Quick Tip: A "complete roster" doesn't have deficiencies in pass rush. Nor is it weak in the back up QB area.

You think this team has multiple Hall of Famers?  Okay I'll bite. How many of those are in their prime?

Did Gettleman build a complete roster?

Oh the assumptions... The FACT is Hurney drafted HOFers (like I said). If you think an NFL team will be great top to bottom YOU my friend are the one who failed to watch football. Doesn't exist.  Complete enough would be better phrase.  Look at the games Panthers lost.  Look at the point differential.   I'm no Hurney lover, but he has drafted well. Show me a team in the NFL who has won and didn't have any deficiencies anywhere. Too much video game playing in the huddle.  To please you: Cam, Luke, Pep... Honorable mention Greg, Ryan, TD.   You can't name 6 on New England yet they still win.  Why? because of coaching.  New England doesn't nor have they ever had a complete roster maybe aside from 2007.  They win.

One major difference is that successful teams with "incomplete" rosters still get production and quality out of their worst sub-units. No one thinks you can have stars at every position, but everyone agrees that a well-built, well-run team will earn at least small victories across the entire roster.

Whether that's coaching, or whether that's careful selection of players - maximizing returns on minor investments - is more of an open issue.

But this is a roster with zero results from key groups.

We cant even truly evaluate the team on defense bc of poor coaching on the defensive side of the ball. I mean yes we need to improve some positions butall games lost except one or 2 were within reach. Even with Cams messed up shoulder. Ron is the reason why this season went down the drain. Wasted yrs of players and he still will get to coach while players retire without a ring. Shortage of good coaches if he is the best we can get we can hang it up on winning a SB bc he is severely lacking.what coach throws away film and admits it to the public. Not like the defense had been world beaters before the Steelers game. Then waits til the team is basically out of the playoffs to do anything about it. Now it' Cams fault we didn't make the playoffs what a joke ! And this is who you are afraid to let go of , Lord have mercy!

Why does a football team need a great deal of risk?

Just give it sometime.  The guy is smart enough to know what he doesn’t know.  Watching it all work before coming to any conclusions is a prudent move.  He was a 5% owner in a an nfl franchise, that is nothing like having the whole thing to yourself.

Pitching a fit cause he doesnt do what we want / when we want it is kinda silly.

I still woukdnt be surprised if Marty or Ron or BOTH get canned.

If fans can see it's not working then a owner should. Keeping a losing staff is like saying a car with 3 wheels is drivable.

we was 6-2 with Cam playing great once he got hurt it changed can't blame Ron and Hurney for their star qb getting hurt cause had Cam shoulder did'n get reinjured we had cruised into the playoffs.

It must be fun to be clueless. We almost lost the Gianta game and Cam had to will us back in Philly after poor coaching. Coaching has been the problem all year and is the reason Cam was hurt.

Panthers have been good under RR.

Hurney does not have enough work to be judged by in the time he has had. We cannot throw a blanket assumption that Hurney did not learn anything since being relieved. He had a good draft, from what we've seen thusfar, and hits and misses in FA.

Neither RR or MH are perfect. If you expect 7 starters out of each draft than you are delusional. 3 is the mark. If its Billichek style seasons you expect, get your mind right because there is only 1 BB post salary cap era and 31 other teams are looking for the same.

The best, most consistent, teams have stability in their FO and coaching.

The more I think about it the more if seems that RR will he retained and Hurney let go. They really need to clean house. If  RR is retained he needs to make serious changes to the coaching staff. Richard Rodgers and Washington both need to be let go.

Washington was demoted, as opposed to let go, because how good of a dline coach he is in this league.

In any other circumstance, a d coordinator would have been fired. He just needs to stick to what he is good at for now.

What vet qb did you have in mind? Derek Anderson?

Even if there was a good backup qb availabe, we didn't have enough money to sign the qb. We had 20 million to spend - signing him would mean we neglected another position and some huddlers would  make threads about not addressing that need.

Don't extend Gano, keep Butker, and we could have afforded Ryan Fitzpatrick with just those savings alone.

That is why you don't let Marty Hurney around rosters in the NFL.

you are not going anywhere big boy and you and the others will be right back here next season when training camp starts, preseason games are played and be excited as ever.

As excited as ever?  With Ron and Marty still here?

Nah.

I'll be around, and I'll be watching, but the excitement level will certainly be WAY down.  And it should for anyone who calls themselves a fan.
