In 2006 the Saints had already locked up the division and were off to the playoffs as a favored team; we were not going anywhere and had them in NO week 17. They played their starters for the most part.

We ended up beating them to finish 8-8.

This. They'll play for a short time then get pulled. Some of them will play the whole game because of roster limits. Its really not a big deal imo.
