Production isn’t everything when evaluating a prospect. Look how good deshaun Hall numbers we’re playing along sides Myles Garrett. I need to see Ferrells comebine  numbers to confirm explosivness. I’m not high on his size and he seems like a effort guy playing along side 3 other guys that are gonna get drafted.

I thought that we were likely in the running for only Zach Allen to give us stability at LE which we haven't seen since CJ was performing at a high level.

Now, depending on this final game turns out, we can also be in the running for Gary or Ferrell. I'm a Clemson fan, so I've seen plenty of the latter but am excited to go back and watch some games from the former.

I just want a tall, long, rangy athletic DE who can rush the passer. 6'5 260 type body can play DE and LB in situation. We need a pass rusher!

 

Who best fits that bill?

Gary will not fall out of the top 10 and we do not need to trade up. Pick a new player.

Not really but Re: Irvin when he was in SEA. Mingo is in that spot now.  (I'm not describing it well)

It's essentially a guy in the mold of a 3-4 OLB who can put his hands in the dirt in our hybrid looks. I think a guy like Matt Judon would be an example.

Not sure where he will rank by April, but I like the Simmons kids from Mississippi State.

Gary is just that kick your ass d linemen, he could be as athletic as Fletcher Cox and as dominant as Cox if he got his strength up. I'd play him anywhere on our line where there is a mismatch.

Gary.. He is an athletic freak, he has the potential at 6'5 280 to post Warren Sapp type numbers on the 40. I've heard 4.7 seconds, but until Febuary we won't really know. That's fugging fast for a D linemen that's 280 pounds and that tall. I'm not just putting all the stock in the expected combine numbers. Watch the tape for yourself, the dude has a motor comparable to Hardy.

That's even scarier for Drew Brees and Matt Ryan if we can snag him. Father time will come much quicker and I want that. Man Sapp ran like a 4.4 or some crap like that at 300+ . Has there ever been an athlete comparable since Myles Garrett to that? And Garrett is just shy of 270.

Sapp, 4.69 40. Jadaveon Clowney, 4.53. 6'5 266. I gotta get the facts straight. Either way Gary is a monster if he touches those numbers.

If he fits the bill and he's available I hope we pick him.
