2019 cap space and possible cuts

From a lot of what I've read over the last year or two, people should probably get used to free agency being week.

Teams have gotten very good at keeping their own free agents, so while rebuilding through outside signings is still technically possible, it's significantly more difficult than it used to be.

That's why I'm hoping the next year or two sees us building a draft and personnel system similar to what they have in Pittsburgh. if we want to be more competitive in the future, it's going to be important.

Teams just tend to back load now and released their good players when over the hill. It's more about finding gems now in FA. A guy everyone else looked over.

Addison, Smith, Thompson & Captain are definitely gone.

I'm not sure about Searcy or Cockell since they're both still unknown.

I think all the old vets will come back for one more go. So Peppers, Kalil, Olsen & Davis.

Sign Clowney & Swearinger. Norman could be a possibility too. Maybe go after Shane Ray for LB?

What are the chances of moving Kalil to LG?

We cannot cut Kalil... his cap hit is $12M and carries almost $15M in dead money

And that statement right there ruins all your credibility on the subject. Matt Kalil is done. There is absolutely no financial gain, cap or reality, to keeping him on the team.

Might want to do a little research.  Just because you want something doesn’t mean it makes sense financially.

He didn't play the last half of the year despite being healthy.  He is bad, but better than Clark and definitely better than Newhouse.  I think we are trying to power play him into accepting a buyout or else he's told he can be around but he will never play.
