LOL - good thing you aren’t involved in the decision making process. For a team that is in win now mode, and the window is closing quickly, drafting a luxury like a backup QB who probably won’t play for the next 3 years (at least) is completely asinine.

Agreed I would rather make a play for bridgewater next year

this class is terrible for 43 DEs unless like you like tiny players/ones who didn't produce, and if this team wastes a 1st round pick on an OT then you should just burn the whole thing down.

DT is where the talent and the DB is in need of a substantial overhaul, applying significant value to players like Williams and Thompson.

Zach Allen is a beast who will climb boards by April, and we have done fairly well grabbing BC defenders.  We like LDEs that can rush the passer, move inside to 3Tech DT,  and stuff the run.  He checks all the boxes.

Here is what SI says about him:

At 6-5, 284 pounds, Allen is a dynamic pass-rusher with the ability to win with power, agility and quickness. He's a disruptive run defender with 30.5 tackles for loss over the past two seasons, plus he has the length, strength and size to set the edge when he's not knifing into the backfield. He has the tools to quickly develop into a starter at LDE in a base 4-3 front...

It’s not wasting a 1st rounder on an OT

and there are several DE out there that will be impact players

a backup is absolutely a wasted pick

The Panthers have one advantage over the rest of the league, one thing they can hang their hat on that 31 other teams cannot, and that's a pair of OTs they love and expect to be around a long time.

If they nuke that to go spending a top 10 pick on an OT then everyone should be even more fired

11 right now. Atlanta will have weaker SOS (we play Saints, they play TB). That said if we lose we move up 1 no matter what so that’s where you get 10. Assuming we lose, either Tampa wins and we get by them or Atlanta wins and we get by them.

God we better lose. The difference between Ferrell and Gary/Sweat is huge to me.

looks to me that theres at least 5 DEs that all have very good tape. We should be able to snag one of them with a top 10 pick.

If the right teams win and lose next week...we could move to #6.  That would be glorious...I'd like to take Justin Herbert from Oregon.  He will be there at 11 if that is where we draft.

Completely agree if Herbert is there we should take him.
