People forget that Tomlin's Super Bowl win was almost ten years ago. Explain to me how he managed to go all these seasons since then with talent light years ahead of us and have nothing to show for it. Oh, and guess which team this season was once 7-2-1 and yet are in serious trouble of even making the playoffs? If recent history is any indication, our best shot to win a Lombardi is with a new face and give it about five years.

With a HoF GM too. Their teams have been loaded. poo if any of our GMs had just a pinky's worth of drafting as Kevin Colbert...dood once had a piece written about him and I quote "hes made 12 picks in a row with 0 busts".

There might have been a time where our GM(s) went 12 picks in a row with 0 hits....

So a super bowl and their worst finish 8-8 twice since 2007 when Tomlin took over is accomplishing less?

get out of here with that

He won off Cowher's drafts and philosophy... he hasnt done sht with superior talent since. Effectively, like you coaching the 49ers after Bill Walsh turned over the reins...plus the division they are in they start off 6-0

He still won and has NEVER had a losing record. Won has had 3 winning seasons in 8 years. You can't be taken seriously when you type things like he has done less with more. Plenty of coaches have taken over talented teams and not won. We had one magical run under Ron and two decent years. The standard for us is have a winning record every other year. They never settled for that. Bill B is the winningest coach active right now and Tomlin is the next.

People just want change for change sakes.

Tomlin does tons of boneheaded stuff. He wins more than Ron becuase he has a better roster.

I would have said a better support system (which generates a better roster).

The Steelers have probably built the most well oiled machine in the league.
