Worst season collapse of all time?

Our 2001 team opened with a win and lost 15 straight. That was a record until it was broken by the lions I think. 

In terms of historical collapse, this takes the cake. We were considered a deep playoff team half way in. 2001 team was young and not much was expected

I'm more excited about our draft pick than I am this next game.

Pretty fuging sad we suck so much we are playing a team leaving out their starters for playoffs.

It didn't occur to me until afterward, but I actually watched yesterday's game as if it were a preseason game.

I went into the game more interested in evaluating our potential backup quarterback play than I did the actual game results.

And something tells me I'm not the only one who looked at it as a glorified exhibition.

That's not really what they mean by a "collapse" though.

This team is hopeless until new coaches are brought in. We won’t win another game until that happens.

I watched every single game of our 1-15 season.

I wouldn't say it's the "worst" because this team did lose 15 games in a row once, and endured the 2010 season where the team was uncompetitive for pretty much every game, but it could be the most disappointing season because starting 6-2 and looking like a for sure playoff team for half the season then collapsing this badly hurts much worse than simply being bad all season. This team was loaded with veterans all over the roster and just inexplicably collapsed. 

So no, it's not the worst, but it's easily the most disappointing.

This is the worst season we’ve ever had in terms of having what we thought were at least .500-caliber personnel on the field and the sideline. We figured 2001 and 2010 would suck, but I didn’t expect us to end 2018 as the worst team in the NFL, and we don’t even get a top-five pick to help.
