How did Ron fool people?

It's as if Ron can't understand that no one has ever drawn up a play or game plan with the intention of failing. Everything works on the whiteboard when everything goes perfectly to plan but that other team consists of professional football players coached by professional football coaches too who are devising their own game plans and plays with *gasp* the intention of also being successful.

My thing is that I don't think the bold is even happening for him anymore.

I see what you're saying but I'm speaking towards the idea of accountability after the fact. Of course if you devise a gameplan, you are doing so to beat the sh*t out of the opposition.  If it doesn't work out, don't act all perfect saying it simply wasn't executed.  I hate that sh*t.  It's a team sport, everyone had a part in the loss.

LMao its fuging sad how dumb our players are too

Coach comes up with the plan, it fails, it's players fault for not executing the plan. Players repeat that bullshit

We can sit here and come up with a plan to rob a bank, if we fail, we just didn't execute the plan... yeah that's what we're going to tell the juror and judge lmao

Players have low football I.Q. because we have one of the dumbest coaching staff's in the NFL.

Cam was a generational talent 8 years ago and Rivera road him like a mule until he broke.  I'm not confident we'll ever see 2015 cam again but that's on Rivera being a F_ing dip_hit.

I just hope he hasn't fooled Tepper. During games, these analysts are so caught up in criticizing every little thing Cam does instead of being objective and they never say anything about Rivera's horrible coaching decisions, so I think that plays a part in it as well.

This. Watch ESPN, nfl post games shows, talk shows anytime panthers come up its always about cam and what he is doing wrong. They even goes as far as to question if cam himself holds the team back. It really is astounding how clueless they are.

You mean the defense? For most of our sb run year the defense gave Cam excellent posistion every possession. How many sacks and turn overs did we have that year?

Im tired of hearing this, look up those stats for that season. Panthers offense had as many 80+ drives as most other teams that season. If anything the offense made it easier on the defense by getting substantial leads earlier in games and forcing teams to play desperate the rest of the way and make mistakes which helped the defense.

Thats not even getting into the blown leads, iffy pass rush, and absolutely just not showing up some of those games.

Football is a team sport. If you can’t see that it’s on you. I didn’t knock the offense, just pointed out what people decide not to see.

I swear outside Carolina and (few inside) think this man is a good HC. Is it because he won coach of the year twice? Cause he went to the Superbowl? Why do people still call him Riverboat?

Is it the price of being in a small market that people don't actually pay attention?

5 seasons finishing under .500. 5 seasons out of 8. No back to back winning seasons, still finishing under .500 this late into Ron career. So can any one tell me how he continues fooling them? Based on "reports", he's about to fool our new owner

I would send out right after the last game with Hurney with them

it could be that it is the JR effect not in a positive way.    At end they feel some of the bad decisions are at the feet (no joke intended) of the owner and not the Coach
