If we win tomorrow, along with the Lions and Texans things will get interesting

If this happened then the probability of us getting in would go up. Going into week 17 you have to think the saints may rest and Chicago could certainly beat Minnesota.

It actually doesn’t seem to far fetched. I think that is why newton is not going on IR

I live my life by the maxim, never say never.

Except in this case.

Is it really that far fetched? Vikings playing on the road vs division rival and then the Bears who are way better than them. Texans are way better than Eagles and Eagles should beat Redskins. Then it takes us beating Falcons which is likely since we’re at home and they’re even worse than us. Then Aints will rest starters after they beat PIT at home.

Yes, a lot of things have to happen but it’s not all that crazy to think will happen.

To be clear, we're actually still seeded below the Redskins for the moment. We'll remain that way even if we win tomorrow because they hold a tiebreaker over us.

However, if the Eagles lose to the Texans (very possible) we move back into the seventh spot by virtue of a tiebreaker over them and their holding a tiebreaker over the Redskins.

The most important game of the day for those who are still holding out hope though, the Vikings versus the Lions.

Vikings win that game, we're out.

Healthy Heinicke is better than Cam of late, Falcons are trash and Aints will be resting starters... don’t be too shocked Scot

If the Saints lose to the Steelers tomorrow, they won't be resting starters.

To tell the truth though, my biggest doubt lies with the Lions beating the Vikings.

Big Ben on the road vs Drew Bres at home... that one’s basically a gimme, especially with how bad the Steelers have been this season when not playing us or New England in Pittsburgh...

I agree that one is the most likely to screw us up but it’s still not crazy to think. Lions have flashed against some really good teams and Vikings are bad on the road.

Are the Vikes still bad with DeFilippo gone though?

That's a big part that I'm not so sure of.

Vikings lose out, Eagles lose to Texans and Eagles beat or tie Redskins week 17. Plus we win out.

I can legit see all of this happening except the Vikes losing tomorrow. The Lions look dead in the water. Stranger things have happened, but I think the Vikes will beat Detroit easily. Besides, why do we want in the playoffs this year? It'll just give Rivera an excuse to be kept and it will bring Cam back when his shoulder needs Rest.

Well, of course the possibility still exists that the Panthers can pull this out with lots of help.

Our defense looked pretty stout against the Saints, we have the best receivers we've had in years and a multidimensional RB, so there is a narrow window of opportunity.  QB is definitely a wildcard at the moment, Atlanta always gives the Panthers fits (even when we're good) and then there is Detroit having to win.

It's a long shot, but what the hell?

We've got nothing to lose at this point!

Hopefully, Ron and Norv and the players go out guns a blazen!

Jabroni's in here talking about playoffs, when we haven't won a game in 6 weeks.lol

Cam is finished for this year, no need to mess up our draft position just to barely miss out on the playoffs. Even if we made it, what are we going to do with a injured Cam?
