Does CMC have a chance to break this record over the span of two games?

From all I can tell, CMC needs 23 catches over the span of the last two games in order to break the record, held by division rival Michael Thomas, of 196 receptions in your first two NFL seasons.

I know 23 sounds like a lot but, if you think about us using our backup QB, we might be running a little more stuff out of the backfield. More than we already have been, even.

It is at least something to root for over the last two weeks!

Hard to say how much heineke will be targeting CMC, we have literally never seen them play together in a regular season game.

Hes also 232 receiving and 21 rushing yards away from getting 1000 rushing and 1000 receiving. He probably wont get it unless he has a couple of huge receiving games in a row.

Also hes close to matt fortes record for rb receptions in a single season.

Cmc has already broken or equaled several records this season. Most lately he passed Dwill for the franchise record for most yards from scrimage in a single season. And also became the 2nd player in nfl history to run for 50 yards,  receive for 50 yards,  and also throw for 50 yards (1st was Walter Payton).

Damn was going to write a posting about this. He is also 1747 total yards from scrimmage which means he needs what 253 for 2000? No doubt he can get that. Mostly because Ron likes to beat his players to death, and that's been the case with CMC. He only needs 21 yards for 1000 rushing.

DeAngelo Williams got over 200 yards alone in the last game of 2012. It's definitely possible he hits 2,000.

All the talking heads use superlatives to describe barkley as a “generational talent” or gurley or zeke as the “best back in football” but they seem to play down cmc. Same happened in college when he broke sanders yardage record but it want good enough for s heisman?? He seems to be understated because of his race? I don’t know what the issue is really?

No, Cam took the "it's ok to check it down" line, and turned it into his primary read. Falcons and saints are going to load the box and pressure Taylor all day, CMC won't get the ball half as much as he does with Cam, I assure you that.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
