Concerns about Newton's future...

This may be the most idiotic thing you've posted in a long time.

You've been spinning your wheels trying to speed this whole thing up. It's not difficult to see.

Not even I'm as sure about Rivera actually getting fired as you are that Cam is all but completely done with this franchise. If you're ready to give up on the QB this early even though he's been saving Rivera's job for years, you're shitposting. If you don't like being called out on it, tough poo.

so someone who doesn't have access to his medical records and could be just as hostile toward cam as rivera has been throughout his tenure in carolina

cool

"An NFL assistant coach" could be anybody, AFC or NFC. The fact that they reference Gronkowski actually makes me think AFC.

Either way, if they really did want to do damage, the best strategy would be to not mention it or call attention to it and hope the Panthers continue to send an injured Newton out on the field.

you made a thread to say "concerns about newton's future do exist within the panthers organization" and the source you provided explicitly stated that it "likely means finding out how serious the shoulder injury is and planning accordingly"

like yeah he's injured and they need to figure out to what extent and the best treatment, be it rest or surgery. that's what you do when players get hurt. luke kuechly is the actual ticking time bomb on this team btw

Not even close.

What this means is that the team is at least a little concerned that Newton's shoulder injury could be affecting him beyond just this offseason.

That's bad news, but it's reality. Us talking about it doesn't affect that. We could all agree to not say anything about Newton being injured, and he'd still be injured.

As to me, I posted the other day that I really hate to see that disaster against the Saints be the last image we have of Cam Newton. He deserves a better ending than that.

I'm genuinely concerned that he might not get one.

They should be concerned with any injury that affects throws from the QB. Until or if they ever diagnose the injury, there will be concern because what has been said to the public has been that they have no idea. I doubt that personally but if they can pinpoint it to the hit from Watt, at least that is a start.

You might need to loosen your tinfoil hat. It seems to be cutting off the blood to your brain :eyeroll:

The Panthers are going to make their decisions based on the opinions of their own medical personnel, leadership and Newton himself, not an article that cites unknown sources.

If they decide to move on from Newton, it will be because they think it's the best, not for image reasons.

Kind of like when they signed Eric Reid. You remember that, right?

I think realistically, that possibility, is comically small it isn't really worth discussing.

Could Cam's shoulder be an issue going forward? Possibly.   We see that in sports.  But there is little doubt based on what we know about Cam that it wouldn't stop him in the near term.   He will be back in Carolina.  Only thing up to consider is when he comes back next year....did the shoulder actually get fixed and can it hold up to a NFL season.

Oh wow. You aren't even trying to hide it. Yikes.

I mean if Cam's health signals it is time to move on in some fashion.  It isn't 2019 where it makes sense.  It is 2020 where it makes sense for the franchise.  He comes back next and you see how the shoulder then does.   Now maybe you draft a QB.  Maybe you bring in a QB.  You gotta plan for the shoulder being a problem in 2019.  But this is Cam freaking Newton.  He is your QB next year and it really isn't debatable IMO.
