Aaaahhh, so reading comprehension is the problem here

What I said was that I would take a chance on someone who might be good over keeping someone that I know is bad every single time. If you diagram the sentence you'll find "every single time" describes how often I would take the chance, not the word "bad".

Hilarious :)

Now my guess is you'll probably try to pin that on me, but I've said it many times and so far you're the only person who's misunderstood, so...

LMAO.  You are really here criticizing reading comprehension after making a post where you completely misread mine.

No, I didn't read that thinking it describes how often you would take the chance.  I inferred that from your following post when you said "a top 15 HC = mediocrity", and so I naturally assumed you would fire any head coach who is merely top 15 because "you don't accept mediocrity".  How I read the quote on the other-hand is how I have explained to you multiple times when I said that I clearly was responding to you saying he was a bad head coach.

And beside that, how can you possibly sit there and insult someone's reading comprehension when you asked me multiple times how long I wanted Rivera to stay despite clearly saying I didn't think he should return?

Nice attempt to try and look smart though.

Let's see how you switch the goal-posts this time to prove to everyone how right you are.

"You can't do anything until you prove it"  Comedic gold to this day still

No need to move anything.

You based an entire argument on a misreading of something that nobody else has had any trouble getting.

I find it pretty funny :)

Spin away, if you think it'll help.

Ron isn't going anywhere.  He'd be sitting on 21+ wins in the last two seasons if his QB's shoulder hadn't turned into wetted tissue paper.

The odds of us finding a coach better than RR anytime soon are quite remote.  It's been damn near 20 years since we've had a coach as bad as the Koetter/Hue/Josephs/Bowles/Wilkes/McAdoos of the world, and the franchise should do all it can to avoid that type of scenario.

Depends on whether or not Tepper thinks that RR is responsible for the wetted tissue paper shoulder. IF he blames RR for the shoulder, he's gone.

That's only your opinion, and a pretty raunchy one at that. 2x Coach of the Year ..

I'm hoping Tepper keeps Rivera and Hurney, it isnt like Hurney looks like he nailed the first two picks this year with Moore and Jackson  + drafted Ian Thomas who by all accounts looks like a future #1 TE .. for fugs sake you are thick

I always get a good chuckle when people appeal to the Coach of the Year awards as if they actually mean something.

Here's a quick look at the AP Coach of the Year award winners for this decade...

2017 - Sean McVay
2016 - Jason Garrett
2015 - Ron Rivera
2014 - Bruce Arians
2013 - Ron Rivera
2012 - Bruce Arians
2011 - Jim Harbaugh

You know what every one of those guys has in common?

No championship rings. Heck, two of them aren't even in the NFL anymore. And Jason Garrett? Heh :)

As a matter of fact, if you look at Coach of the Year winners all the way back to 2000, you'll find only two coaches with championship credentials on the entire list (Bill Belichick and Sean Payton).

So yeah, Coach of the Year...yay :eyeroll:

We are potentially going to lose 8 games in a row. What is magically going to change next year if we stand pat?

I do not know if this has been said because I do not always read the entire thread before posting on account of having a life and all, but 25% of the time as a head coach, Rivera has been the NFL coach of the year.

You have to wonder if that is going to be taken into consideration.  Remember, Tepper was a Pittsburgh owner and I can count the number of coaches they have had since the 1970s on three fingers.

Coach of the year ain't poo. If u take away couple years Cam carried his ass, Rivera is down right horrible. We need a coach that is going to get us in playoffs every year and win SB's. Don't give a rats ass about damn coach of the year.

I didn't misread it though.  You just keep saying that LMAO

You said Rivera is bad every time.  You said that.  Did you not?  And you said a top 15 HC is mediocrity.  Did you not say that as well?  So please tell me what I misread.  My argument was that Rivera is not a bad head coach in response to you saying he was bad.  Me mentioning how we can't keep firing HCs until we find a great one was in response to you saying a top 15 HC = mediocrity.  But you struggle with reading comprehension and logic.  "Can't do anything until you prove it"  proves this.

But tell CarolinaHuddle how you didn't say any of that.

You just refuse to admit when you are wrong, it's hilarious.
