I hope Ron is retained and cam benched for all of 2019, most of all to make you crybabies howl to the moon. Tepper probably doesn't care how the team does either way, since he's going to eventually move the team to another city, IMHO

Good stop being a fan then

I think we see major changes even if curb stomp both Atlanta and New Orleans.

Ya kinda gotta figure that those decisions are, for the most part, already made.

Heard someone say these last two games are basically preseason games. It's kinda true.

Khan is the most obvious option.

But he may not be the only one.

Douglas is a guy that other teams have been trying to lure her away from the Eagles for a while now.

He'd likely make an excellent GM.

Interesting.  Sounds like he is an excellent talent evaluator...could be an ideal fit as GM.

The only thing is how comfortable would you be with Jim Schwartz as the next HC?  Speculation is that they are a package deal.  Here's and article from August that talks about Douglas a bit, and touches on Schwartz as well.

That might be where I'd balk.

I'd hope he's learned from his mistakes.  To be honest, I'm not a big Lions fan, so really don't know much about the problems he had there.  Not sure if it was more personnel, being in over his head, totally clueless, or what.

How many o lineman has he drafted?  That is my biggest issue with him

A total of 11, with an average of just over 1 per year.  He didn't draft any last year, but he did well enough in the draft that I don't think anyone can fault him.

I didn't want Hurney back, and I won't cry if he is fired, but I don't think anyone can say he didn't try to make  a positive effort at making the team better this year.  He drafted a very good receiver, a very good cb, and a promising tight end.  Anytime you get three good players in the draft, you did a very good job.

Took a look at the article. Sounded like it was speculative, i.e. that Douglas might want to hire Schwartz as a head coach at his new GM gig, but it didn't sound like it was a deal-breaker if you didn't take them both.

Douglas could conceivably come here, spend a year evaluating Rivera, then decide he wanted Schwartz instead.

Yeah, it's speculative, but it does show that there is some connection.  The thing is we don't know how strong it is.  Regardless, it's definitely something to be aware of.

If it goes that far back, it's probably pretty strong.

Lots of NFL hires happen because of familiarity.
