Panthers lose a 2018 draftee

Dolphins signed DT Kendrick Norton.

The 2018 No. 242 overall pick has been on the Panthers' practice squad this season, but the Dolphins have signed him to the active roster. The rookie surprisingly entered the draft after his junior season at Miami and will likely be an early-down run defender if he can get on the field.

Kyle Love is 32 and an UFA, Vernon Butler has abeen a bust, and Poe might get his ass cut. Having a 22 year old DT prospect for next season would have been nice. Marty Hurney fails us again

I watched him in preseason. I don't  think we lost much.  However, this brings up an interesting point.  Why do we not cut 3-4 rostered players who will not be back next season and grab a few PS players to fill the roster.

I had the same thoughts, Norton would have been great insurance.

Dude was a 7th round pick. Not a really big deal.

I feel you but when you have the 5th odest roster and coming off a non-playoff season, every young prospect counts.
