the defense looked the best it's looked in weeks.

I know nothing about DT, or how he thinks. But, I'm a new owner of an existing business, I gave you time to impress me.

Did Rivera impress Tepper?

I don’t see how any knowledge fan or NFL insider wasn’t impressed by the defensive performance last night. We shut down arguably the most explosive offense in the NFC in front of a prime time audience without the benefit of a strong pass rush. I think we sacked Brees last night one time. We didn’t push him off his spot often and he certainly didn’t look as hurried on his throws as Cam did last night. Yet, their receivers were blanketed. When they made receptions our guys were right there to make the tackles. And let’s be honest, we’re not fielding a squad of all pros in the secondary.

Our Oline issues were exposed last night. So was Cam’s injury. I wouldn’t be opposed to Ron coming back next year, but certain things need to addressed. I think if Tepper keeps him, he needs to hire a new GM. If he clicks  with Ron that’s great. If not you replace him after the 2019 season and let the new GM bring in his own guy.

With that said...I wouldn’t be crushed if Ron were let go this year, but there is no guarantee a better option is available THIS OFF-SEASON.

Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm still trying to understand the OP's post:

Tepper needs to do what w/ Rivera? What about Cam?

Do you have a neurological issue or just a late night?

I didn’t watch the press conferences last night. I’m just finding out about Cam’s admission about his shoulder. He needs to sit these last two games. Playing him is only gonna make it worse. And, playing him right now doesn’t give us much chance of winning anyway. We need to see what Heincke  brings to the table and focus on finding Cam a top orthopedic doctor to look at his shoulder. If this addressed now he could possibly be ready to suit up next season.

If Ron even thinks of starting him next week he probably does need to released at seasons end.
