Why the fug should Hurney fall on the sword? He's not the guy that preps the team and ultimately decides who plays and who doesn't. They both need to go.

Actually we "DID" ruin our QB by allowing him to get abused every game and not taking him out of the game when needed..

Ron was never getting fired anyway— I don’t know where all the weirdos get that notion anyway....

theres not a better alternative out there and changing coaches is usually a losing venture.

and yes Cams injury is a reason— we were 6-2 and looking pretty awesome before. Our defense was a weakness but had Cam held up and we won 3 of the 5 games lost by a touchdown or less we would be playoff bound with a defense that just found their mojo.

Cam has one of the highest 4th quarter QBR and comeback rates,.. one of the highest 4th quarter winning percentages.

Again we were 6-2 before Cam went downhill and that was with a defense that was horrible.

now our defense has us in games we should be getting killed on.

Rivera fixed the defense. Cams hurt so our offense can’t move the ball.

the GM should have a credible backup like Kap on the roster— that’s on the GM.

if Cam was healthy right now with this defense we would be scary in the playoffs

He has to go because he was brought back by Richardson because Dave wanted to move on from Olsen and Thomas Davis. I want a new GM that has no attachment to these players and can evaluate this roster. I think Rivera will get one more season under a new GM.

This is silly.  Ron doesn't control whether he gets fired.  That's up to the owner/GM.  The owner is not stupid.  He will not let a win or two in the last several weeks determine Ron's fate.

If Tepper thinks Ron is not getting the most out of the team he has, he will be gone.

If Tepper thinks the GM has not built a good team or at least has a solid plan toward improvement, he will be gone.

If the doctors tell Tepper that Cam is toast or that he needs a year off for rehab, he will follow their advice.

 

Last I checked, Ron is not an orthopedic surgeon.  If team doctors/cam have been telling Rivera that the shoulder is not getting worse - that he can play through the soreness, do you guys really think Rivera would overrule them and bench Cam? Knowing Cam's fragile ego?  Think about it - Ron benching Cam against Cam's wishes.  Never would happen.  Now if the doctors were telling Ron to shut Cam down and Ron kept playing him anyway - then there would be a big problem.
