Please stop making excuses for Cam.  It is always everyones fault but Cams in some peoples eyes.  Just fuging stop and admit that for what ever reason Cam looks like poo.  He might be hurt, has a poor o line, whatever but this year he sucks ass.  IMO he has given up.  Doesn't even seem to give a poo anymore.  Time for a reckoning with a new head coach.  Maybe a new qb if Cam cant get it done anymore.

This right here is why Cam Newton needs to move on from the Carolina Panthers

Most of the fan base is just toxic

These the same people who thought Anderson should be starting and when Andersen finally got a starting gig in Buffalo, he failed..

Panthers aren't even in the top half of the league in terms of most QB hits allowed by an offensive line this year.

The excuses have to stop.  If better than average protection is resulting in Cam's shoulder falling apart like tissue paper after half a season, it's over.

It's because Cam is one of the best quarterbacks in the league at dodging shots. He also has Christian to dump the ball off to now.

You're blind if you think this patchwork offensive line isn't a problem.

Edit: Also, these stats aren't including today's game.

Then I guess we know that tepper is poo as an owner.  What sort of competent owner lets their franchise qb get drilled into the ground when the season is lost ?

Common sense would tell you that Tepper is in his first season with Panthers as the owner and he is seeing how things will go and then make the adjustments offseason. You know nothing about what his plans are for this team yet just like the rest of us.

The guy is an idiot or has not a clue as to what is going on if he lets a player he is paying $20 million a year play hurt in 2 meaningless games.

Also, Cam is clearly hurt, I don’t understand how some (not you) can’t understand this. Look at where he places the ball before he releases its right next to his ear. It’s like he’s protecting his shoulder.

Completely agree. His motion has looked terrible for weeks. It’s not only the ball placement by his ear. He is leading his throws with his elbow pointed downfield, almost like he is throwing a dart. Seems there is some kind of impingement in his shoulder that is either (1) not allowing his shoulder to freely rotate during a throw, or (2) so painful that Cam has to compensate with the weird motion he has developed recently. Either way, gotta get that fixed before next season.

Sorry, there is no sugar coating or excuses for Cam's play. The offensive line is terrible. Cam has been terrible since Pittsburgh. And Norv has been inconsistent at best. It all adds up. You can't just say, OL is bad Cam is fine, when Cam literally can not throw a catchable ball more than 10 yards down the field for several weeks in a row, even against poor pass rushes when the OL was playing average. Even when he's had plenty of time he has not thrown the ball well whatsoever.

I think it's largely due to his shoulder injury, however years of throwing the ball with just his cannon arm has probably contributed to that. I blame Shula for never from day 1 trying to get him to use his legs when he throws so he wouldn't have had to destroy his shoulder like this. If he threw more with his legs than his shoulder his whole career, even with the injury he wouldn't look anywhere near this bad. We would've been better off this season playing Heineken since the Pittsburgh game if we knew what we know now, but whatever time to hope for a top 10 pick.

This is a load of Crap.  Do you know how much guys like Drew Brees worked on footwork?  Not because he had a coached that force fed him, but because he knew how important it was.

Cam was big man on campus and got by on size and athleticism.  He never had to work for anything.  The problem with that is that he doesn't know what it takes to truly improve.  This is where his lack of heart really shows.  There are a lot of QB's that are first to practice and last to leave, but I have never heard of Cam described that way.

It has become a problem in recent weeks but has not been the reason for Cam playing terribly. We've seen him in the past with wayyyyyy worse OLs play a million times better than this.

Exactly! Seattle has had much worse lines over the years but they still make the playoffs consistently.

there's enough fanboys on here who think if the line isn't giving him 5+ seconds of pass-pro on every play, that it's "terrible".  Absolutely no stat indicates that the offensive line this year is anything less than average AT WORST, but that doesn't stop shameless attempts to shift the blame.

If Cam's tissue paper arm can disintegrate in half a season from the amount of contact he's getting now, he's done.  This ain't flag football.

The problem is that teams know Cam cant throw the ball deep.  Because of this the DBs are constantly jamming the receivers and the rest of the defense is bringing pressure.  I believe that's why the offensive line is all of the sudden looking bad, it's because other teams have figured out the big weakness of this offense...and that is that we cant push the ball down field.  If defenses dont have to respect the deep ball then they creep up and jump everything short, leading to more pressure and more interceptions.  Which we've seen increase since Pittsburgh.  It's not hard, if we know the panthers are going deep then so do the defenses.
