When our offensive line consisted of Nate Chandler and Byron Bell at Tackle, Fernando Velasco at Guard it didn’t stop us. 

Plus I don’t blame anyone but the staff and Hurney If they play the card of the oline. They knew what they had on the roster with Kalil (the shitty one), letting Norwell walk, and relying on the older Kalil to stay healthy

Well yeah but we have always had those problems because they are not addressed. Just another reason Ron should not be our coach.

Sorry, there is no sugar coating or excuses for Cam's play. The offensive line is terrible. Cam has been terrible since Pittsburgh. And Norv has been inconsistent at best. It all adds up. You can't just say, OL is bad Cam is fine, when Cam literally can not throw a catchable ball more than 10 yards down the field for several weeks in a row, even against poor pass rushes when the OL was playing average. Even when he's had plenty of time he has not thrown the ball well whatsoever. 

 

I think it's largely due to his shoulder injury, however years of throwing the ball with just his cannon arm has probably contributed to that. I blame Shula for never from day 1 trying to get him to use his legs when he throws so he wouldn't have had to destroy his shoulder like this. If he threw more with his legs than his shoulder his whole career, even with the injury he wouldn't look anywhere near this bad. We would've been better off this season playing Heineken since the Pittsburgh game if we knew what we know now, but whatever time to hope for a top 10 pick.

I agree the oline can't protect very well.  But anyone that thinks that Cam's arm isn't bothering him hasn't been watching.

I almost buy that but we don’t even ATTEMPT to go deep anymore. Even occasionally presenting the threat of the deep ball can help offense.

The o-line no doubt sucks but Cams lost confidence in his own arm.

Panthers aren't even in the top half of the league in terms of most QB hits allowed by an offensive line this year.  

The excuses have to stop.  If better than average protection is resulting in Cam's shoulder falling apart like tissue paper after half a season, it's over.

Please stop making excuses for Cam.  It is always everyones fault but Cams in some peoples eyes.  Just fuging stop and admit that for what ever reason Cam looks like poo.  He might be hurt, has a poor o line, whatever but this year he sucks ass.  IMO he has given up.  Doesn't even seem to give a poo anymore.  Time for a reckoning with a new head coach.  Maybe a new qb if Cam cant get it done anymore.

Exactly! Seattle has had much worse lines over the years but they still make the playoffs consistently.

Are people still doubting Cam is hurt?  I mean, he’s not even getting full rotation on his throws. He literally starts his throws at a 90 degree angle with his arm straight upright. 

His rotator cuff is fugged. We are watching the beginning of the end right now and it feels a lot like a redux of Jake.

Newton played terribly for the most part tonight. I won't deny that. I don't think anyone can.

Like t96, I believe he's hurt. I think it's also possible that playing through an injury is screwing with his head.

He should probably be shut down for the year. But we all know that's not happening...
