If you can only fire one,who goes Hurney or Rivera?

Hurney.  No question.

Too many big, franchise altering decisions that will need to be made over the next 8-10 months...and I do not want Hurney making those calls.

Rivera can win w/o Hurney, look what he did with Gettleman

While Hurney seems to have learned from his mistakes I still don’t trust him to make the necessary moves to rebuild this team.

Tepper will fire Hurney and get his own GM to eval Ron

Our buddy Roaring Riot made a pretty solid point regarding Hurney.

Tepper has brought in some pretty high level people (Glick, for example), guys who are world class and at the top of their game.

And in the middle of those guys, you have Marty Hurney, looking like the kid who struggles with academics sitting in the middle of the advanced placement class.

It's not hard to imagine Tepper moving on from him to his own guy. Ditto Rivera, who while he's a nice guy, he doesn't always come off as the sharpest knife in the drawer.

At this point, I fully expect both to be gone, but if I had to pick...it's Hurney hands down.  Ron can somewhat hurt the franchise, think playing Cam when we can all see he is injured.....but Hurney could set the team back 5 years, with this offseason alone.

That's scary to think about...especially right when we are finally toward the end of the Brees era.
