So the Giants are doing pretty well though, right?

Yeah, I think we are not even talking about the Panthers anymore. We just have Gettleman fanboys. Pretty crazy. One would think they would be more attached to the team rather than a transitional GM from the past. But, you will have that with "Panthers" fans.....

Just now, Mr. Scot said:

Actually, they're only a game worse than us, and that's after they were 2-14 last year and we were 11-5.

They've improved. We've fallen off.

That said, so what?

They're doing pretty poorly, that's right. Eliminated from the playoffs last week I believe.

Which we could be next week. And again, it's pretty sad that despite such a huge discrepancy between where we both started, we're likely to finish in pretty much the same spot.

But again, so what? We're not in the NFC East. We're not competing with the Giants for a wild card spot. The teams we are competing against did what they needed to do this weekend. We didn't.

Time to clean house and start fresh.

Do you think Dave Gettleman would have fired Ron Rivera last year? Or do you think Dave would have somehow change Cam's injured shoulder? If both of these are a no, then what could he has done to make this team a winning team this year? What move? I'll tell you one thing, it wouldn't have been in the draft.

I'm going to try and explain this slowly, since I'm not quite sure that you get just how stupid an argument tactic it was to compare us to the Giants.

The Giants were one of the two worst teams in the league last year. We were a playoff team.

The possibility still exists that we may finish this year with a worse record than they do. But even if we don't, we'll be in the same general vicinity.

That means they improved while we regressed.

Now how you think highlighting that fact makes some kind of positive point about where we are right now is a total mystery. It actually has just the opposite effect.

I suppose maybe I should thank you for contributing to the argument that Hurney should be fired. I don't think that's what you were going for, but it's what you achieved.

Why are you so personally offended when Gettleman's decision making is called into question? Why?

Is it just because you can't answer my questions, is this your only way out, to attack?

offensive line is a major issue on this team, Gettleman for as hogmollie centric as he was, did a piss poor job at getting a lt after running Gross off. Rivera is a bad coach.... Hurney is a bad gm given record but 3 seasons of that record was out of his hands. So if I exclude those three seasons because of ownership ineptitude..

I'll take keeping Hurney, at least he got Cam and Luke before they got run into the ground by Rivera.

Not offended. Amused, honestly. You really shot yourself in the foot on this one :)

But see, here's the thing: Dave Gettleman isn't the GM here anymore, and he's never going to be again. He was, by every objective standard, a far superior GM to Marty Hurney. Unfortunately, our dumbass former owner (coincidentally the only guy who ever would offer Marty Hurney a GM job) pulled a Jerry Jones and screwed us over.

C'est la vie.

What's most important now is moving on from Jerry Richardson's mistakes. That means both of them, Rivera and Hurney.

Will that happen? No idea, but it absolutely should.

You're not answering my questions, to the point you're ignoring my entire posts to defend Dave Gettleman. That's not healthy.

That's how it goes. Look at the chain of defensive posts I started bringing up his name.
