Make sure you use plenty of primer on the treated lumber 4x4's. Treated lumber is about soaking wet when it hits the racks in the stores and takes a long time to dry out. Even a small amount of moisture content will mess with the paint job.

It’s not treated 4x4’s, it’s repurposed rough sawn 5x5’s with lots of prep work done to them.

I custom built a couple end tables when we bought new couches a couple years ago. It was an easy, quick job that I did with no plans other than in my head. They have a 2" thick top and a single 3/4" thick shelf towards the bottom with all the visible screw holes countersunk and plugged.

Other than that it has been very minor repairs or projects.

I've got a few bigger projects planned, but never enough time to get to them.

Next up will be an upcycled headboard for our bedroom. For years, we've just had a simple mattress and frame with no headboard or footboard. I've got a lot of salvaged pallet wood and wood I've bought for other temporary projects. The plan is to distress the boards a little more and stain them different depths of stain, hang some 3/4" thick anchoring boards on 4 wall studs, and then just brad nailing a random pattern of the boards into the anchoring boards to create a headboard. I'll also probably mount some lights on it as well. Eventually it'll look something like this:

...with lights mounted to it, and a little overhang on the perimeter to create the effect of it floating in front of the wall rather than being directly mounted to the wall.

After that, my list of projects includes:

A pergola above our deck (after we re-plank and re-rail the deck)
Garage shelving/storage and setting up our shed to be more of a workshop
Raised garden beds (standing height)
A chicken coop
Built in storage/shelving in one of our bonus rooms

At this rate, that'll all happen in 14 years when I can retire, lol... but if I get to any of it before then I'll try to remember to take pics and share.
