Why wouldn't I still be a Panthers fan? I don't bandwagon. So yes I would be. What specific reaction are you seeking with that question? Let me guess..

Oh please do.

My post wasn't directed specifically at you perse but I did use your post to pose the hypothetical question.

Oh boy,... well I guess because Steve Smith said it,... time to trade Cam.

i wonder if Jon Gruden would pony up 2 of his first round picks for Cam? Derek Carr sucks.

Dave Gettleman might just to out from under Eli,.. they would have to give up a 1st and 3rd this year and 1st next year,.. Cam with Barkley and Odell and Pat Shurmur? Omg

jacksonville really needs a Quarterback,.. they can pony up. cam with Fournette and that defense would probably win a a Super Bowl.

anyway— if I were Cam I would want to be traded away from this disaster and this fan base.

Name a game winning throw or tying throw Cam has made in the last 3 minutes of a game.

Name won time where Cam played above his normal level on a big stage.

Cam one the MVP with his legs.

His running is supposed to be the icing not the Cake.

Umm New England MNF to Hixon,, Seattle to Olsen... We can go on. Cam has the same number of comeback wins as Rodgers... The loss to Philly last year was above avg play on his end... The Saint playoff game last year he balled.  Hell Philly this year he won it. What on earth are you smoking??

Cam has never had good mechanics, and it has hampered his ability to be consistently accurate.  He's always been a streak player.  But those good streaks are nearly unbeatable, and even during bad streaks his legs could keep the team alive.

The real issue is in pressure situations.  Under pressure the body will always revert to what feels comfortable.  Unless you have drilled the correct mechanics to feel right, you will revert back to old mistakes at the worst possible time.

who is trying to say delhomme didn't have overthrow issues?   i don't think you watched those years. jesus, you would know after 2 series what kind of game it was gonna be with jake.  i loved how if a receiver gave him a bad look after he didn't see him or overthrew him jake would go cajun insane.  start cussing.  that shite was so funny.

That hypothetical scenario has no basis in reality. That isn't the current trade market. No team is going to give us a first rounder for a 30 year old QB with shoulder issues on a 100 million dollar contract.

Here’s the crux. Everyone here keeps calling for Rivera’s head, for his “inability to lead a competent team”. They say Tepper is fed up. If the QB keeps throwing like he is, under their logic why would Tepper turn against the QB? I ask you this.

The answer is very simple... according to huddle logic. Let’s check reality.

What if Ron conveniences Tepper to allow Hurney to trade Cam for a 1st this year so he can draft another QB? Not saying it's a possibility just a hypothetical question.

How many Huddlers would still be a Panther fan?

I do think trading Newton away is a possibility. I don't necessarily but that it's likely, but yeah it could happen.

I do, however, question the idea that it would be Hurney or Rivera doing it.

Throwing absolute lasers for 10 years without any power from your legs is sure to tear any shoulder unfortunately. Tbh I wouldn’t expect anything better next year if he needs surgery again because it’ll be the same thing midway through the season.

I said before preseason that Cam wouldn’t be recovered from the surgery for this season and if he has another procedure he won’t be ready for next season.  I’ve seen dozens of men and women have shoulder surgery and not one of them was close to 100% for at least a year and none of them were professional athletes.   The reality is Cam needs a year off if anyone expects him to recover correctly.

I'm hoping that their time here is at an end myself.

You can’t even spell “won” correctly. Game-winning or tying throws in the last 3 minutes of a game:

2013 vs New England

2013 vs Miami

2013 vs New Orleans

2014 vs Chicago

2015 vs Seattle

2015 vs Indianapolis

2015 vs NYG (drove us into FG range in one minute)

2017 vs New England

2017 vs Tampa Bay

2018 vs Philadelphia

That doesn’t even begin to count the number of times we drove down field and Mare or Gano missed clutch field goals of varying distance.

To further destroy your narrative, Cam had 35 passing touchdowns and only 10 interceptions when he “one the MVP with his legs.” He had a quarterback rating of 99.

One time where he played above his level on a big stage? The 2015 NFC Championship Game. He ran for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Oh wait, he can only do stuff with his legs. But wait: 19-28, 335 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception.

10 pages of opinions as to why Cam has been inaccurate for 8 years.  Guess what, none of that changes the fact that, no matter what,  he has done little to nothing to correct it. He is a $100 million dollar QB, at some point it’s on him to care enough to fix it. It shouldn’t take a coach to get him to do it. Did a coach stand over MJ and watch him shoot 2000 free throws a day? Don’t think so, if you want to be great you need to hone your craft and that’s what is missing from Cams preparation.

Steve Smith also said DJ Moore runs good routes (he doesn't) and has a PhD in such.

I like him as a player. As an analyst he's been largely bad.

Also, the underthrow to Samuel. The pocket was literally collapsing and Cam had no room to step in. In fact, it's arguable most of his pockets he has have little room for "stepping in." Again Cam largely is a huge plus for offensive lines because he's capable of making insane throws off the backfoot.

Also Wright was not open lmao. Very tight window.

I"ll agree to disagree on Smith. D.J. may not be as good as Smith said (while he was in an excited state, mind you), but he's not the trash you're trying to imply either. He began the year as a limited rookie, which can be said of the preponderance of rookie wide receivers.

Smith will be proven right about Moore, and he was spot on about Kupp.

Cam holds on to the ball too long because anticipating where the receiver will be and/or leading the receiver is not his forté.

Wright was absolutely open. All Cam had to do was put the ball farther in front of him (I.e., in the direction that Wright was running), and it would have been an easy TD.

The play should have been made to Samuel. It was am easy throw, regardless of the decidedly average pressure. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Roethlisberger and Rivers make that throw easily. I'm not used to seeing a veritable wounded duck from Cam.
