Conclusion #2: After IRing Cam and several others (please let one be Captain Munnerlyn,) the Panthers somehow pull off upset wins against Atlanta and in New Orleans in the final two weeks. We finish 8-8, miss the playoffs, lose out on some draft positioning, and give the Cam haters more ammo as they rally around Taylor Heinicke as being "the future."

this sounds just bad enough to be exactly right

Cam has taken a beatin over the last 8 years...running QBs are prone to injuries and shorter careers. We can't be surprised at this event with his shoulder. We don't know the extent of what is wrong with the shoulder tho. If we loose to the Stains Cam should be shut down and shoulder immediately evaluated for a realistic outcome.... what i don't want is for the dysfunction and mismanagement of this organization to treat him like Shanahan/RGIII situation. I mean he could be further damaging the shoulder by playing....this could be a very precarious situation down the road..

Not a Dr and don’t have inside info but I suspect the shoulder has already been evaluated.  If they are putting Heineken in for throwing the deep ball they know something is amiss.

A team, no matter how much message board hyperbole about incompetence, is going to probably take a peak and find out why their 100 million dollar QB cant throw a deep ball.  Surely tepper has pondered this question to Rivera and company and they do have some doctors at their disposal.

They already know what’s wrong. Just my .02

I wish we knew the full story to what happened in 2016 when Cam got hurt.  Gantt tweeted that Cam convinced Ron to let him play, so wonder how much of that is true.

But also why our coach/GM didn't step in and overrule him.

I don't doubt that Cam asked but it's not his call. I'm sure Luke wanted to go back in after every concussion.

if this happens it will be time to seriously consider the possibility that we've died and went to hell

undrafted out of a G5 program, journeyman, not particularly physically imposing, probably a "gritty lunchpail guy who isn't flashy but gets the job done"

oh yeah he's going to become a thing

Wait are you guys saying that Cam's shoulder is sore and not 100 percent and as a result it gets more tired and weak toward the end of games, therefore it's best to put him on IR?

Or are you saying he has an injured shoulder and we're playing him anyway? If it's number two, it takes more than RR wanting to play him to save his job, it has to be an organizational decision, including the head trainer and in fact including Tepper.

I was under the impression that it's sore and perhaps there's pain. No way Tepper would let RR put an injured Cam out there. There's a difference between hurting and injured.

I'm all for IRing Cam though.

Stop talking logic and get on the conspiracy bandwagon. We don't care that Rivera has said adnauseum that playing or not playing is a medical decision not a coaching one. Ignore that he didn't play Kuechly after he was cleared medically to risk further injury. And ignore that Tepper would have a big say in this to save his 100 millon dollar investmnt and wouldn't let Rivera further injure him especially when Tepper has likely already decided what he is going to do with Rivera after the season. We got a lynching mob mentality and need someone to pay for these losses and Rivera is the guy. Everything is Rivera's fault unless it is Hurney"s. I am all for IRing him too....
