Yep! I'll never get the criticism. Even when Luke has an off game, he is better than most. He has plenty of riches in the goodwill bank as far as I'm concerned. Other than possibly C-Mac right now, I can't think of a better Panther.

Yeah these two are maybe the only constants throughout the season. Cam was our best until his shoulder fell off or whatever the reason is, but through all 13 games McC and Luke have been dominating and working their asses off. Can't believe those idiots making threads saying Luke was done earlier this year, or those people who still aren't convinced by McC... DJ and Donte might be next up for me. They've had their rookie struggles but wow their potential is off the charts, and they've both shown several flashes of it already.

Dawg, you happy with our WR group right now if we get rid of Funch and Smith and sign a vet big body red zone guy in the offseason? DJ, Samuel, Wright, and FA ain't too shabby top 4. Then add in Byrd or whoever else to round it off.

What’s the love for Donte all about? I think he can get better but he has 100% been a huge problem in the losing streak. He’s given up so many long plays that have led to TDs. It’s amazing how much Bradberry gets bagged on when he hasn’t been getting burned nearly as bad lately. One thing to have to play off and give up short receptions but he’s played pretty well against a slew of elite WRs and Donte gets burned deep by a guy on his 4th or 5th team.

Donte has potential but he was anointed way too early based on the losing streak.

I based my comment more on potential because he’s a rookie. If he was a veteran, I wouldn’t say the same.

I mostly agree with you, but in regards to A-Jax vs Bradberry, A-Jax is in his rookie year. I think that he just needs more experience and discipline.

Well...you know me, always looking for an upgrade or steal at the receiver position...

Yeah, I agree with what you're saying. Funchess has absolutely been a disappointment with his drops. I'm skeptical about his disappearing acts as well, though (unlike what most people probably believe) I think some of that can be attributed to Cam not going through his progressions, or not having time to go through his progressions, and Funchess being misused as an X receiver when he is really a possession guy (and it shouldn't have taken Norv and Rivera so long to realize that). That being said, I don't believe that Funchess has earned a big payday, or even an average one, if his work this year is the basis for a huge raise. In fact, even if I decide to keep him at all, I would be looking at acquiring some competition, if not an outright upgrade. It's certainly not like his productivity can't be easily replaced, and now I've been thinking that perhaps his skills can't be easily replaced as well.

I love DJ and Samuel. I think that it's a damned shame that after Samuel flashed a little last year and a lot during the preseason that Rivera and Norv didn't see fit to make him a regular part of the offense as opposed to a gadget type player. I'm sure that it's kind of hard to get totally within the flow of the game having to come out for such long periods. I think that Samuel has kind of pressed in some situations as a result. I can't take anything from him. I love D.J.'s effort, and I think that in some sense he has been given a more fair shake than Samuel. I think he's pressed a bit as well, taken some bumps, and has looked like the rookie that he is. But, he has flashed big time. Once he puts it together (which he should do before next season), he will be a force to be reckoned with. I still don't know who has the most promise between him and Samuel. I'm excited by them both.
