Locker room chemistry this year

Because Cam was crucified for showing emotion in 2015 (happy dancing version), then he was crucified for showing agony (after the SB loss).  The only way he isn't crucified is to be a genderless, colorless mute.  A sports world puppet, personality bent to the will of the masses.  Hard to rally up the emotions necessary to enjoy the game when he also has to make sure he either hides it or only displays it in a way that the world doesn't become a tinderbox of criticism.  And to reinforce the entire thing, when he finally did neuter down everything that made Cam himself all the talking heads called it maturation.  Win or lose, I haven't really seen the 2015 Cam since 2015...personality wise.

This I want to give three  examples, one offense, one defense, one the comments after a loss

1.  offense   Two min drill, at half, at end of game when behind. During the Rivera Era  this has never, ever been efficient. Wasted timeouts and in each half that hurts these situations   

     Net  what do they do in practice  in 8 years this has not been fixed  

2.  defense  passive by playing 8-10 yards off the ball   Linemen not continuing to push the pocket or get their hands up or swarm to the ball   Inability to get off the field on 3rd

    Net  who thought putting a  old and aging dline on the field was a good idea ?  Who gave input on what players  Gettleman  and Hurney should be drafting?  The DTs fail to perform 

3.  on loses, ‘it’s just one game’ is the standard mantra   

     Net. Remember when Cam Newton burned white hot on losses.  No more.  The defense despondent on losses, no more ‘it’s just one game’ is the  mantra  

Ron acts like these players just mysteriously appeared. To me, Ron, his coaches, his players are ‘just glad to be here’ and get a paycheck  football is now a game for mostly young people with a burning passion   This team no longer that team  the Bears are that team the Panthers used to be.  

Conclusion. Rivera plus his GM make decisions on players.  None of this is done without Rivera’s input

1.  If the players are too old,

2.  if the players are too slow,

3.  if the players are too stupid to do the same repetitive thing over and over again to avoid stupidity in the game ,who oversees that.  

4.  If the players are ‘paycheck’ players

The answer comes back to Rivera and Hurney to draft players with enough intelligence and desire to perform  

The NFL is now a rebuild and retool league.  it is also on those two to turn over the roster to prevent the aging seen in various positions on this team and to bring in the right free agents

Like others said, Norman's swag was contagious to the rest of the team. While Luke and TD are leaders and can bring fire to the defense, 2015 we had a player at each level (Dline, LB, secondary) that could get each group pumped up. This year we don't and everybody on the team seems complacent because they know they won't lose their starting spot unless they get injured
