When I see words like "Gettlegod" or "Gettledouche", I know I'm not exactly dealing with someone who's on top of their debate/discussion game.

Being insulting should never be a part of discussion or debate. Moreover, Gettleman has been debated ad nauseum. It's not like others haven't agreed with my opinion wholeheartedly. I've given plenty of rationale as to why I believe what I believe and have been responded to positively and negatively and everywhere in between. I say this to say that my opinion is not something off base or out of this world. Regardless if you disagree with it or not, there are others that do. Your continued discussion with me on the matter is simply trolling at this point. I'm not going to keep engaging you or anyone else in the same circuitous debate. It's pointless. You've gotten all the discussion, debate and "evidence" you're going to get. If you want more, then go foraging through the archives. Why someone wants to continually involve themselves in useless arguments (because that's what they are at this point) is beyond me...unless their desire is to troll.

Stop your trolling. You know how I feel, just as I know how you feel. That should be good enough. Let it be.

There are also plenty of people who disagree with you. And I'm not trolling. I've pointed out where I think you're wrong, and why.

I'm ready at this point for the last vestiges of the Richardson era to go away so we can get a fresh start under an owner who's not a dumbass.

Not crowning, just said don't be surprised. Defense wins championships and the Saints D is not great.

Defense wins championships? Huh, what about the Patriots/Eagles Super Bowl last year? They both played little to no defense. Let's not mention that more than likely the one team in the AFC that's probably going to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl has one of the worst defenses. If Defense won championships, the last two years would destroy that argument. Maybe in the past that statement was legit. But, in 2018 where Defense is basically non existent. I doubt it.

I don't insult people who disagree with me. You do.  The only time that I get insulting is when others get insulting. You have a problem with being insulting. Try and hide it, but your insults aren't going to fly with me, in any shape, fashion or form. Engaging people with the same, tiresome points, in the same tiresome discussion, in the same--arguably derogatory---tiresome manner doesn't prove your point, it just proves that you're more interested in discord than discourse.

If the Bears' offense matched its defense, no one would touch them.

Great defenses will affect great offenses more than great offenses will affect great defenses.

Care to explain why the #1 scoring defense is 0-2 this year against the #1 scoring offense at the time the game was played?

I don't know what games you're referring to, but, what, were they blowouts? It's called a football team for a reason. And, honestly, great defenses are hard to come by. Unless a defense is historically great, it's probably not going to overcome a crappy offense (and maybe not even an inconsistent offense).

They weren’t blow outs, but they also weren’t shutouts by the vaunted “great defense”. The Ravens defense is currently the #1 scoring defense and lost to both us and the Chiefs who were both the #1 scoring defense at the time they played the Ravens. But by your logic, they should’ve won at least one of those games, right?
