Should fans go to the stadium for MNF

i think a stadium filled with saints fans would def send a message, as would empty seats.   fair weather fans?   when was the last blacked out home game?  against minn when we ruined culpepper?   it would def send a message.

We were like 6-2 when we ruined culpepper in 2005. That game was absolutely not blacked out. It was also Steve Smith’s best game as a Panther, and Jake’s best game as a Panther.

Little known fact: Saints fans wore bags, instead of skipping games, as to support players, while also voicing their displeasure to management. Protest, of sorts. I wouldn't sit it out, but I understand the need to voice your opinion.

As an added fact, during that short stretch in late 1980 and early 1981 the total number of fans that actually wore bags never exceeded at few hundred that were constantly on camera.  At a time when there was no salary cap the Saints ownership, led by John Mecom, refused to give the coaching staff quality players, beyond Archie Manning, with whom to work.

I’m looking for cheap tickets...prefer lower bowl.

you can PM me.

discretion guaranteed

for what its worth a simple way to sit lower bowl or anywhere cheap is to do what I do often.  We have two PSL but commonly will want extra tickets for others members of my family, etc.... SO we haggle outside for the worst or bad seats at a very low price... THEN simply move around the stadium.  There are so many empty seats (has been all season, and for the most part past ones also), it is never a problem to sit where we want.

Go and enjoy the game for what it is, a night out with a bunch of people you have something in common with rooting for something you have no control over. If you only go to the games if there is a potential of going to the playoffs, you are doing it wrong.

Also make a great tailgate plan. Been though many years where the main reason to go to the game had nothing to do with the actual game. Always had fun though.

I've always had a hard time enjoying going to a sporting event if my team loses. Maybe if I'm getting laid in the stands, that'd change, but it'd only be good as long as Rivera doesn't show up on the big screen when I'm about to blam

I'm nearly 2000 miles away so my opinion on this doesn't matter, but I almost hope that Tepper gets to watch the Saints have a de facto home game in his stadium. Hopefully that would erase any doubt in his mind that changes are necessary. Time to part ways with Hurney and Rivera and completely wash our hands of the JR era.

There is no message to send that Tepper hasn't already been delivered. He has already said he is ready to fire people. Plus we are still in the playoff hunt. Don't spend the money on the product if you don't want to go. But the money has already been spent by someone. You not going will have no effect on anyone's pocketbook except maybe the saints fans that spend $250 per ticket.

Boycott when it is clear management is complacent or we are terrible for a few years. And the way to boycott is for PSL owners to turn their tickets in.

I only make it to one game a year. It's a three and a half hour drive, one way, usually a hotel room. Sometimes I go with friends who are Panther fans, sometimes with friends of our opponent. I just try to enjoy a weekend with friends. Enjoy the food, the beverages, walking around Uptown. I've been to an epic blow out of Cincinnati,  nail biters against Philly, Green Bay and New England, and getting pancaked by Titans.

I have to divorce the outcome of the game from how I feel about the trip.

Had fun at the Seattle game (loss), and had fun at the Tampa game (loss).  Also enjoyed the New Orleans game (loss) last year on the road.

It's not easy for me to go to a game, hell, going to an away game may be easier for me, but I will not be buying expensive beers, or hot dogs at a stadium again, until moves are made.

Hopefully that's this offseason, and I'm kinda hoping that we play in London next year, as I really want to go.
